Thank you goes to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen for providing me with a complimentary dinner in exchange for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Nowhere near my house has a restaurant that meets our current daily dietary preference. Unfortunately whole food plant based just hasn’t really sprung in the way of take out/dine in around here. So my husband and I know that when it comes to eating out we are going to have to make exceptions. Cheddars Scratch Kitchen is worth the exception for us personally right now.

Right now Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen is featuring some awesome new and tasty meals right now that we were so excited to try out! Before I tell you that story, I first need to tell you this one. Cheddars has an amazing drink called the Painkiller. Now with a name like Pain Killer its no surprise that there is a limit 2 restriction on it and for good reason.

The Pain Killer is strong and tasty. My husband ordered this and loved it, he’s totally into tropical flavors and loves pina coladas.

The cool part about The Painkiller is it’s matching dessert. Think tropical, warm gooey and delectable but still light and sweet, more on this later!

Besides The Painkiller, we all enjoyed beautifully crafted drinks that complimented our meals.

As per our last visit we got the Wisconsin Cheese Curds again and they were so amazing! Crunchy butter batter surrounding gooey cheese in the middle. Dipping into the handmade marinara seriously sets these appetizers apart from the crowd.

We also ordered the Honey Butter Croissants. We were warned these are in constant hot demand and found out why. I have never eaten a croissant that good. Seriously. They are fresh hot out of the oven, light, slightly crisp outside with an impossibly moist center and last but not least glazed with a sweet honey glaze. If I could come and order only these I wouldn’t be mad about it!

What dinner would be complete without perfectly crispy onion rings?

Cheddars is featuring a tasty Chicken Tender Parmesean that we all tried and thought was amazing.

My husband loves all things Italian and marinara and loved this dish as well. Cheddars signature chicken strips atop a bed of perfectly cooked pasta with marinara and lightly browned cheese.

Salads as always are on point with a a variety of housemate dressings.

Grilled Salmon with Cheddars signature Broccoli Cheese Casserole was an item we all shared bites of and loved!

Mac and cheese paired with chicken and shrimp with the Cheddars all universal bourbon glaze.

Country fried chicken is something I have craved for a few weeks now, along with coleslaw and I wasn’t disappointed ordering this meal at Cheddars. Adding gravy only helped tie everything together!

My husband of course couldn’t resist the Bourbon Glazed Pork Chop again with a homestyle dish of mac and cheese.

Last time we came to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen we came in the evening, this time we went during the day and the ambiance was still perfect for enjoying a meal and great company.

I love getting a seat near the giant fish tank and kids love to stand and gaze at all the neat fish and looking through to the bar side through the glass.

Remember those desserts I mentioned earlier?

Here they are The Painkiller and the Chocolate Raspberry Mini Cakes! Each are filled with hot gooey fillings. Slightly crisp on the edges, moist and soft in the middle with a gooey warm sweet core. There is nothing mini about the flavor of these little cakes!

I absolutely love going to Cheddars Scratch Kitchen and with a menu that changes here and there but keeps the classics constant I know no matter how long in between each visit I’m sure to find awesome new tastes and enjoy old classics just the same.
