I was sent a Nadine West shipment. All opinions are my own. There are affiliate links in this post.
I am doing this Nadine West review really early because my holiday gift guide begins tomorrow. So if you are thinking you just saw me do a Nadine West review, you did! We are doubling up a bit.
As a quick refresher for those who are new, Nadine West is a subscription service for clothing. You sign up and fill out a style profile to give them information about your general taste. Refuse to wear yellow, and only like silver jewelry? That type of information goes into your style profile. From there, they will use your style preferences and the sizing information that you provide to send you 5-8 items per month. They also mail you a prepaid return shipping label so you can return anything you don’t want to keep. You are only charged for the items that you do keep.
It’s been fun watching my Nadine West shipments shift gears a bit to prepare for fall. No more shorts and fewer dresses, we are now moving more towards bottoms and including cardigans which I didn’t get over the summer. This shipment included seven items.

The shirt included in this shipment is a fairly simple sweater. It is very thin for a sweater and is a knit-like material that is slightly see through. I suspect that the material may feel itchy if I get too warm in it. I plan to wear it with a cardigan on underneath. I like the color, style and fit of this. It is $20.49 to keep.

I was sent a cardigan this month in a light blue. I’m not a huge fan of blue generally speaking. I wear a lot of cardigans but I almost always opt for ones that are the length of a regular top. This one is quite long, past my knee though I am only 5’1″. It has pockets which I love as it’s rare to find cardigans with pockets. The material is thin and stretchy which makes it really comfortable to wear. Its not my color and it’s a bit longer than I like in cardigans and at $36.99 to keep it feels a bit steep for the thin t-shirt material. It’s cute, but it’s not quite me, and it would be a returned item for me as I wouldn’t get enough wear out of this style for the price.

I’m really torn on the leggings that were sent this month. Purple is my favorite color so I loved that. I also really like the criss-cross design on the sides. It’s fairly common to find leggings with criss-crossed leg designs, but most of them expose part of your leg. Here in Michigan we don’t have long periods of what most people would think of as spring or fall weather. We go from hot summer to cold winters, and back again pretty quickly. We don’t have many days where wearing pants with holes in the sides would make sense. So I like how these have the design without letting the cold in…at least, not as much. The material under the crosses is a mesh-like material. The reason I am torn isn’t about the style at all, it’s about the material. When I first put these on they surprised me how thin and cheap the material felt. Sort of like really cheap clothing you’d buy from overseas, or like you might find in a Halloween costume. I’ve purchased very cheap leggings before that didn’t have enough spandex or stretchy material in them to hold their shape. That is NOT true with these, they do have enough spandex to stay in place and move around with you, they just seem thin and the material feels a bit…off? I wish I knew hwo to describe it better than that. I’ve worn them for several hours and after a bit of wear they didn’t feel strange to me at all. So, I think I’ll give them more wears and see how they hold up in the wash. They are $26.99 to keep which feels a bit steep for how thin the material feels.

The first set of earrings I got this month were cute little leaf-like designs. I like small, simple pendants like this but leaves aren’t quite my style. These are $14.99 to keep.

I got a second pair of earrings this month. I think this was my first time ever getting two sets of earrings in one shipment. One of these arrived broken, the circle pendant had broken off of the chain. Of course, if items ever arrive broken you can simply ship them back and opt not to keep them. I was still a bit bummed about it though as these are cute earrings. They are $13.99 to keep.

The necklace I got this month had several square-like pieces on a simple chain. It is unlike any necklace I own or anything I had been sent from Nadine West before. This isn’t a necklace I would typically pick up in a store but I like it on. It was a win for me. This necklace is $24.99 to keep.

Last but not least, I was sent a cuff style bracelet that sort of gives the appearance of wearing a bunch of stacking bracelets. I thought this was simple but cute. It’s a little bit for me. I think I may have smaller than average wrists as most bracelets seem large on me. The cuff is $15.49 to keep.
Overall I was really happy with my shipment this time. I really like the shirt and will get regular wear out of the leggings as long as they hold up okay in the wash. The cardigan and earrings were a pass, but weren’t too far from my style so they were worth trying out. The necklace I like but it pushed me outside of my comfort zone, which is exactly what I hope to experience sometimes from Nadine West.
What was your favorite item from my shipment this time?

I really love these! I hadn’t heard about this subscription box, but it looks like it might be worth it. The leggings you received are amazing!

I like the leggings. Being in Iowa I can appreciate he going from hot to COLD and not much in between. I do like the color of thm. I actually do like the longer cardigan on you, although if the material is thin, that would be iffy, nice it has pockets that is a plus! I also like the necklace you are keeping. The darker colors this month looked nice too.

I really like the cardigan. I like them long like that, so it is a win for me. You always look so cute in the outfits.
