I received product to facilitate this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
As hard as it is to admit it, my oldest child is going to be all grown up before I know it! I sit here and wonder HOW on earth she can be 15 already. I can still remember her as a baby. Memories of our stay in the hospital for her birth feel, at most, a few years ago. But alas, she’s no longer my baby. She is a teenager with a permit!
How I Knew My Girl Was Growing Up!
As time has gone by, so much has changed. We all know our kids are growing up when they start to have opinions about what they wear, extra curricular activities, and as they start to pay attention to their ‘style and looks’. So I’m sharing some awesome products we’ve recently discovered as we travel this new world of teenagers (who can drive!)
Teen Girls Must Have
Over the past few weeks, I have spent time getting some products that our oldest daughter had been requesting. And here they are:
Ionic Hair Dryer
My daughter has long hair; like down to her waist length hair. So after she showers, it usually takes quite awhile to air dry. She was getting tired of her back and shirt getting wet during this process so she asked me for a hair dryer. While she didn’t want to worry about completely drying her hair after each shower, she did want something she could use for several minutes to take most of the moisture out so she wasn’t dripping everywhere. This Ionic Lightweight Blow Dryer was a great choice.
First off, this hair dryer is lightweight which makes it easy to grasp and maneuver. It features three temperature settings: cool /warm /hot as well as a speed adjustment dial. It also has an overheat protection and comes with diffuser and concentrator nozzles. So far, this blow dryer is working perfect for her!
Leather Shoulder Purse
Starting to carry a purse is a big step for many girls. After looking around, we decided to go with this KL928 Leather Shoulder Handbag.
There were several color options to choose from but she went with the Beige as it’s neutral and light. Overall, this is a larger size handbag but it allows room for a book, tablet, or datebook which is nice. The extra zipper pockets are also perfect for keys, chapstick, phone, and other smaller items that would normally get lost in the big pocket. Overall, super cute and a great first purse.
RenFox Hatteker Electric Shaver
One of the not-as-fun developments kids hit in their teen years is shaving. I still remember shaving for the first time when I was about 12. NOT a great experience. Luckily, our daughter has been blessed with such fine hair that she hasn’t really needed to shave yet! (LUCKY GIRL!) But the time is coming so we chose the RenFox Hatteker Electric Shaver.
I decided on this razor because it offers a 2-in-1 product. It features a 3-in-1 shaving head as well as a face blade that is delicate enough for facial hair. It’s a rechargeable battery-operated razor and comes with the charging cord. The razor is lightweight and seems to be easy to maneuver while the simplistic, yet cute, design is great for teens.
Terresa Gel Nail Polish Set
My girls love painting their nails. It’s something they’ve enjoyed since they were toddlers. So helping her transition into this next stage meant I also wanted to update and upgrade her nail polish. She was still using polish I had from 10+ years ago and the quality just wasn’t there. So I grabbed her this Terresa Gel Nail Polish Set.
I have been hearing great things about gel polish for some time and I guess we were just out of the loop since we hadn’t gotten any yet. But this set is a great collection of bright fun colors that teens especially love. I’d say they are very true to color, based on the bottles.
I think I’m most excited about the safety though! This polish is environment-friendly and made with NON-TOXIC healthy ingredients which also means low odor.
Ekouaer Womens Pajama Set
One last change that comes with the teen years is sleepwear. No longer are character jammies cool! Now, she wants more mature pajamas that look great and sleep well. We found the perfect set to fit the bill with this Ekouaer Womens Pajama Set.
This pajama set comes with pants and a short sleeve top. She loves how the edging features a slight frill for a more feminine style while also being more ‘grown up’. Available in black, grey, and navy blue, she went with the grey. The material is super soft and offers a nice amount of stretch which means a more comfortable sleep. Lightweight enough to be comfortable in the summer, they also offer enough coverage to make them a great choice for winter wear too.
So tell me, which item is your favorite? Do you have any teen girls?
I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
