Nadine West outfits

I was sent a Nadine West shipment for review. There are affiliate links in this post. All opinions are my own.

Nadine West is a women’s clothing subscription service that offers more affordable clothing than most other fashion subscriptions. While many other clothing subscription services charge $75+ per piece, Nadine West gives you the ability to opt-in to only being sent items valued at $25 or less if you’d like! Or you can opt in to items that are $25+ as well. The most expensive pieces I’ve ever been sent from Nadine West are around $46.

When you sign up, you share your clothing sizes, and answer various question about your sense of style. Then a stylist ships you clothing and accessories that they hope you’ll like. They also mail you a price sheet and a return mailing label. You check out everything you’re sent, and use the return shipping label to send back anything you don’t wish to keep. There’s a short window (a few days) for you to decide and ship back. Then you’ll eventually be charged for just the items you kept rather than paying for everything.

This service is a cool way to try new clothing. Sometimes they send me items that perfectly match my syle, sometimes they really get it wrong, and sometimes they send me items that I wouldn’t have usually tried on, but that I love once I try them. I think that’s my favorite part about this service, is just trying items that I usually wouldn’t!

Let’s get in to what was sent to me this shipment. I was sent 5 items this time.

Nadine West Dress

This dress is so soft to the touch! It’s a material that I might expect in a lightweight long sleeve top, slightly fuzzy. Due to the material it feels more ‘fall’ than summer to me. I usually only wear short dresses like sundresses. I’m 5’1″ and that makes it challenging to find longer dresses that look decent on me. I do think this one fits okay, it’s just not really my style. It is $34.99 to keep.

Nadine west floral dress

This was the second dress sent this shipment. This is more the length that I’m used to wearing in dresses. I like floral dresses and tops, but I usually go for smaller, more subtle floral designs. The pattern on this is bolder or “louder” than suits my personality. This dress is $34.99 to keep.

Nadine West floral top

The top here was sent this shipment. The shorts were ones I Already owed, but they were sent to me by Nadine West in the past! Sadly, they’re the only jean-like shorts I’ve ever been sent from them. I love them, though!

Anyway, on to the top. As I said above, I like some floral prints but I’m a bit picky about them. The flowers on this dress are a big of a larger pattern than I’d usually like. However,  like the color scheme, it reminds me of watercolor paintings. I also like the neck cutout area. I think I could have used one size smaller in this top, it’s slightly baggy. I think it might fit cuter if it was a bit slimmer. Overall, I think I like it. You guys let me know if you think I should pass it on or keep for myself!

Nadine west necklace

This necklace is a dainty silver chai with a hammered oval hoop pendant. I think it’s really pretty, though I’m not sure I’m likely to remember to wear it. I’d like to be that person who changes out jewelry regularly but I tend to keep staple pieces on 24/7 unless I’m going to a wedding or something where I wear extra jewelry. This feels to subtle to be worn for those fancier occasions, so I just am not sure I’d ever pull it out of my jewelry box. I do really like it though. It is $34.99 to keep which does feel steep to me for fashion jewelry.

nadine west lace top

I got excited when I first pulled this shirt out of the bag. I love lacey sleeves! When I tried it on, I was a bit disappointed, though. The shorts wearing in this photo are the longest pair of shorts I own. They go down to my mid-thigh…and this shirt is so long in the front that you can barely see my shorts! Hi-low tops like this (notice the hip area is shorter tha the front and back) and tunic style tops just don’t suit me well because I am short. Having longer tops makes me look extra short. I don’t neccesarily strive to look taller than I am, but I don’t like wearing clothing that makes me look even shorter.

Anyway, I would have loved this top if it ended higher but at this length it would make me look like I wasn’t wearing bottoms with most of my shorts. So, that’s a no-go for me. This top is $33.99 to keep.
