feandrea 77.5 inch tall cat tree

Feandrea sent me their 77.5″ tall Modern woody wonders cat tree for review. There are affiliate links in this article. All opinions are my own.

My cat Pepperoni is definitely a member of the family, so she gets included in our holiday celebrations, too. Her big gift this year came from Feandrea, and while it’s an awesome gift for cats, it’s also a great gift for you as the pet parent!

We owned a Feandrea cat tree for almost a year, and Pepperoni used it daily. It was still in really great shape, almost like-new! We loved it…so why upgrade?

I realized that Pepperoni loves getting as high as she can. She had started going from the top of her old cat tree (which was 65″ tall) to the top of our bookcase which was a few inches taller. She wasn’t really hurting anything by getting on top of the bookcase, but when I saw that Feandrea had come out with this new 77.5″ tall modern cat tree from the same line as our old one (the woody wonders line), I thought Pepperoni would love it. Especially the very top of the cat tree which has a large rectangular area for laying. And I was right, as I type this, she is laying on the tippy top of this 77.5″ cat tree!

There were other reasons I was interested in this cat tree, too. It had bigger boxes for her to lay in. Our old cat tree also had two boxes, but they were both smaller. The horizontal box on this cat tree is REALLY big, Pepperoni can fully sprawl out inside of there, and that longer box is the #2 most-used portion of this cat tree. I love how she accesses it using a circular hole in the top of the box. When she leaves, her head pops up through that hole like she’s a jack-in-the-box, which makes me smile every time.

She lays in front of the long box pretty often, too!

While this cat tree is taller and has bigger features than our old cat tree, it’s just a couple inches bigger at the base than our old tree, so it takes up just a tiny bit more floor space. Our apartment is really small at 350 square foot which is a common size for efficiency apartments but ours has a bedroom so all the rooms are TINY. Anyway, due to our lack of living space, having a cat tree that doesn’t take up much floor space is key.

Pepperoni in the long box, as you can see, she has plenty of room to lay in there.

The reason I said this is a good gift for you as a pet owner, is having a tall cat tree can keep your cats off your countertops or other spaces that you don’t want them to climb. Since we got our first cat tree, Pepperoni has never been interested in being on our kitchen counters because her cat trees are taller and more comfortable. So if you find yourself struggling with your cats trying to get in your kitchen surfaces, having a taller cat tree near your kitchen can make your life easier by helping your cat “behave”. They aren’t trying to misbehave by getting on counters or tables, they’re just trying to meet their natural needs or natural instincts for climbing high!

This cat tree arrived when Ryan was gone and I was eager to see it, so I put it together myself and had no trouble. I found the instructions really easy to follow.

Feandrea cat tree

We’ve had this cat tree for a couple of weeks, and there are a couple parts of the tree that our cat isn’t using yet. She hasn’t used either of the hammocks, and she also hasn’t used the tunnel at the bottom. For the first 3-4 days that we had this tree, she also wasn’t using the very top, but she slowly started trying getting up there and now she gets to the tippy top several times a day. So, I am hopeful that someday she’ll try exploring the hammocks and tunnel a bit further and will get comfortable with them, too. However, even if she never does get comfortable using those, she gets so much use out of the rest of the tree that I won’t mind too much. I do think the hamocks are cute so I’d love to see her cuddled up in those!

feandrea cat tree scratching post

Please excuse the mess in the background! I was in the middle of assembling this cat tree when I took this, so I had moved things to make space to assemble the tree and another package had arrived, etc. She does use the scratching part fairly often but I haven’t managed to catch picture of it in action since this first day before I had even finished assembling it.

I also wanted to mention that another awesome feature of this cat tree is it has three sisal-covered sections on top of each other, together they are about 3.5 feet tall. So, this basically gives your cat a 3.5′ scratching post to use that is part of the cat tree. Our last cat tree from Feandrea also had multiple sissal parts, but only two sections on top of each other rather than three, so this one is taller and Pepperoni seems to like it better. She’s able to stretch her front arms really high in the air and scratch, where with our old cat tree she had to be seated while scratching to use the sisal part.

feandrea smaller box

This is pepperoni in the smaller box, she uses it fairly often, though the bigger box definitely seems to be her favorite.

We only have one cat, but I think this cat tree would be a great option for multi-cat households because it has so many different spots for cats to lay. I like how so many of the areas where cats can lay are quite large, too! Our old cat tree had spots that weren’t quite big enough for Pepperoni to sprawl out, and she used them and just would stay curled up and she didn’t seem to mind at all. However, she looks a bit more cozy on this cat tree as she can fully sprawl out in several different spots.

Feandrea modern cat tree

The Feandrea 77.5″ woody wonders modern cat tree sells for around $150 and I think it’s really nicely priced. I expect to get several years worth of use out of it, at minimum. If you don’t want a tall tree or have other preferences, still check out Feandrea because they have a pretty big line of cat trees with all sorts of different sizes, shapes and features.

  • I love that this cat tree is so interactive. I have two cats and I bet they would go crazy for it! Thanks for sharing!

That’s a really good idea upgrading to something with a higher platform. Also, cute pics.

This is such a nice cat tree!! I have had multiple cat trees, and this one is by far the best. I have never seen one that has such big boxes on it! Usually the boxes/compartments for them to sleep in are way too small so they never get used. I love the look of this one too, it would fit in any room.

We have 4 cats – this would be excellent to have for them, but they would probably find a favorite spot and fight over who gets to use it :-).

I’ll be in the market for a new cat tree soon, so it’s always great to read reviews of new trees. This one looks like it has a nice variety of activities/alcoves!

Such a nice cat tree! It’s got plenty of perches and looks very sturdy. It’s a great idea having a tall cat tree, so that cats are less likely to jump on counters.

This looks like a great cat tree, I think my girl would love it. She loves anywhere she can go where the dog can’t lay with her. One just wants love and the other just wants to be left alone.

This is such a nice cat tree with the different comfortable levels. I have 3 cats of different ages, and is a good jumper and 1 can’t jump at all because of arthritis so something like this would meet their needs.
