When I was a child, I LOVED the ‘My buddy and me’ commercials because the kids were driving their pal around in a battery operated vehicle. I wanted one of those vehicles so bad! While my dream never became a reality, our kids have been blessed. When our oldest two (now 20 and 18) were young, their grandparents surprised them with a truck. And man, did they put on the miles! Recently, Ruby was visiting a cousin and fell in love with his little 4-wheeler. So when Funcid offered to send us their 24V 2-Seater Kids ATV for review, we couldn’t say yes fast enough!

When Ruby saw her Funcid ATV arrive, she was super excited and couldn’t wait to start riding. But first…. assembly is required.
Assembly Process
NOTE: The instructions are located UNDER THE SEAT!~
When we first unboxed, we were a bit worried there were no instructions included. So we spread out all the parts, double checked the box, searched online, and came to the conclusion we’d be on our own. But as we began trying to put this 4-wheeler together without instructions, my husband had a lightbulb moment. He opened up the seat and TADA! The instructions as well as the (what we thought were missing) washers, screws, and bolts were located underneath. YAY!
Once we figured that out, things went much smoother. The instructions are decent but I’d love to see a little more in depth step-by-step details. Thankfully, my husband is pretty handy so he was able to zip through it pretty easily. Of course, Ruby was right there ‘helping’. She just couldn’t keep her excitement at bay and had to be there giving hands on help while chatting about her new ATV.
Ready To ROLL! …. AFTER We Charge
The directions were VERY clear that we needed to do a full charge before the first use. So while that was hard for Ruby to hear, she helped us get her 4-wheeler into the garage and plugged in. Of course, as soon as that step was completed, she was ready to rock and roll! NOTE: When charging, the green light doesn’t progress to ‘full’. So adhere to the instructions for time limits. Once charged, unplug and turn the power on. THEN the battery indicator moves to fully charged. <—We were worried it wasn’t charging at first but rest assured IT IS!

- Battery Indicator Light: This is SO handy! Right on the ‘dash’, there’s a very easy to read battery indicator light that lets us know exactly where we’re at. This makes it so much easier to know how much time she’s got left to ride before needing a recharge.

These headlights are small but mighty in the dark!

The control panel is easy to access and use. Music at a press of a button. Drive and reverse are also located here.
Works great on every terrain we’ve tried.
These tires have pretty decent traction.
The foot pedal accelerator is easy to operate.
First time in ‘high speed’ was a thrill!
Final Thoughts On My Funcid 24V 2-Seater Kids ATV Review
My husband repeatedly stated that he was impressed with different features he noticed when assembling this Funcid Kids ATV. I love the simplicity of the charger adapter and where the plug in is located. (We’ve owned battery vehicles in the past that have been very difficult to charge because of where the battery was located.) Ruby is absolutely adoring this new toy. She’s been putting on miles and miles driving around the shed in endless circles. — And no, she doesn’t tire of it! We always have to make her stop and come in at dark.
The slower setting is quite slow, and great for beginners. But be forewarned, Ruby took it upon herself to try out ‘high gear’. And she loved the speed so much that she refuses to use the lower setting anymore. (There is a max speed of 4.3 mph.)
Overall, the Funcid 24V 2-Seater Kids ATV has been great. A 4-wheeler style ride on is a lot easier for kids to drive as they seem to be able to steer it easier than other style vehicles. So I highly suggest you check it out, especially if you’re looking at a ‘first vehicle’ for your kiddo. But even if they are well versed in the battery operated world, you can’t go wrong with this ATV!
