I’ve worked from home for the past few years, and I absolutely love the flexibility and not having to leave my house during bad weather (like our first snowfall today!). While I’ve worked in various parts of my house (the dining room table, living room couch, sometimes even my bed), this year I really wanted to get a standing desk that would fit into our office space. Vernal L-Shaped Adjustable Standing Desk

I’ve owned other standing desks in the past, but this is my first L-Shaped Standing Desk! My office, which is upstairs and quite small (desk currently pictured in my living room) only has certain desk configurations that will work, and this happens to be one of them. Assembling the Vernal desk would be easier completed with two people, but my husband was at work and I wanted to get it together so I did it myself! The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, and you can choose between a left or right configuration. 

Not only is this a standing desk, it’s an ADJUSTABLE standing desk! That’s right; with just a touch of the keypad, this desk can be raised or lowered so you can sit or stand at it regardless of your height. There are presets you can choose from or you can manually raise and lower it. I usually like to start my morning out sitting, but after I’ve had some time to wake up I prefer to work standing. This desk makes it so easy to make the switch and takes almost no time. 

I should have taken a photo from the same angle to show how low it goes; sorry about that! But you can see in the picture above just how much variation you can get. The top of that bookcase is 5 feet high! One thing that I absolutely love about this desk is that I can put a walking treadmill underneath it so I can walk while I work, too! I opted to add the V-Series Desk Shelf as an additional place to store notebooks and folders, and that’s been fantastic, too.

I love to use this desk for work, but it’s incredibly versatile for everyone in my family. My kids have used it to work on school, and most recently my electrician husband spread his blueprints out on it to figure out the box counts for his upcoming job. The surface area is very functional and the desk shelf is removable so you can use it (or not!) whenever you want. The max load is a whopping 397 pounds so I’ll never have to worry about putting too much on it. I can’t wait to move it into my office! 

Vernal offers a 15 year warranty also, though I would imagine the desk will hold up for a very, very long time. It feels very heavy duty and sturdy, and the walnut color of the desktop is beautiful.
