King of Christmas 8′ Prince Flock Artificial Christmas Tree
How long does it take to set up? And which do you prefer, pre-lit or unlit?
This year I picked out the King of Christmas 8′ Prince Flock Artificial Christmas Tree for our home. One of my biggest asks for a tree is that it’s pre-lit. After years of stringing lights (or waiting for my husband to string them so I can decorate the tree with the kids), I wanted a tree that makes it EASY to set up and plug in for immediate, glowing beauty….and this is it! All I needed to do was set up the stand and put all three pieces of the tree together. It took me less than ten minutes, and then the fun part began – fluffing! I love that King of Christmas includes white gloves to keep your hands and arms protected while setting up your tree.
What kind of light settings does this Christmas tree have?
With 550 warm white LED lights and a huge variety of options for glowing, fading, blinking, and more, this tree is absolutely stunning. It comes with a remote control so you can change the settings from across the room. My personal favorite is the option where various lights fade in and out, but our kids love to test out all of the options regularly. Even when it’s on the basic glowing setting, the amount of lights and the soft, warm color give such a homey, Christmas-y feel.
Flocking – will it shed?
I’ve had a few Christmas trees over the years but this is my very first flocked tree! If I’m being honest, with both kids and cats (who have historically loved to climb in the tree!), I’ve avoided them because I was certain they’d make a huge mess that I’d need to clean up daily. However, I’ve been SO impressed with how the flocking stays on this tree and doesn’t pepper my floor with white flakes. Even after a week up, there was hardly any flocking to sweep. I really think this speaks to the quality of King of Christmas trees versus other brands.
How easy is it to store?
King of Christmas trees come with these fantastic green bags to store your tree! Disassembling is super simple; just take each of the three sections of the tree off and push the branches; then pop them into the bag. Rather than having to smash the tree back into a box (they never fit quite right!), these bags make storage and carrying so easy. Ours goes up into the closet until the next season!
Overall, are King of Christmas Trees worth the hype?
In my opinion, 100% yes! Not only are King of Christmas trees SO easy to assemble, decorate, and store, but they are the most stunning Christmas trees I’ve ever owned. I can’t decide whether I prefer my 8′ Prince Flock tree or the 7.5′ Scarlet Fir Pre-Lit Tree that I also have from King of Christmas – but maybe I don’t have to choose! They’re both beautiful in different ways and we certainly have enough ornaments and the space to put up more than one tree. We’ve even played with the idea of keeping one up year-round – how fun would it be to decorate for each season!?
