We’re heading into the cold seasons here in Minnesota and I’m SO not ready! Over the past couple summer months, we’ve enjoyed the summer, sun, and fresh air with the windows open 24/7. Now we’re heading into the time of year where we hunker down and the windows have to stay closed – not my favorite! One thing that we’ve implemented in our home to help combat the germs/dust/cat fur that inevitably build up over winter is air purifiers in several rooms. TrustedAir TruFlow Smart HEPA Air Purifier
If you’ve followed along for awhile, you may know that we have six cats in the house…as you can imagine, that equates to a lot of cat hair and dander, even with robot vacuums and daily sweeping! This air purifier has three stages:

The first stage takes care of any large particles like cat hair, dust, and lint. The second stage traps up to 99.97% of airborne particles – this is the big step for mold spores, dust mites, and even smoke! The third stage helps to absorb odors from things like pets, cooking, and painting. We actually just repainted our entire living room; we decided that we’d go with a dark blue and color drench the entire room, so as you can imagine it took a few hours and two coats! During that time, we ran our TrustedAir Air Purifier and it made such a big difference in the paint smell – in fact, both my husband and I remarked how little we could smell the paint at all!
The smart panel on this purifier is easy to use. We generally run it on auto mode but when we’re doing something like painting or cooking bacon, we’ll increase the fan speed. We can set a sleep mode which is super quiet, set it for just a few hours if we want, and lock it so our kids (or cats!) can’t push any buttons. One of my favorite features is that it tells us when to replace the filter, also! Filter replacements are just $39 which is very affordable considering they can last 6-9 months. With the free TrustedAir app, you can run the air purifier remotely from your phone. You can choose to turn on push notifications so you know when the air quality changes in your home, set cleaning schedules, and can track how the purifier is running right in the app.
Overall we’re so impressed with this TrustedAir TruFlow Smart HEPA Air Purifier. It’s a great size for our house and is easy to move around if necessary, too. As we head into cold and flu season, it’s absolutely worth purchasing an air purifier for your home to keep your family healthier as we round out 2026!
