Harkla Weighted Compression Vest for Kids [Review, Giveaway, + Discount Code]
Thank you to Harkla for sending this vest. As always, all opinions are my own.
When we made the decision to homeschool this year, I think I underestimated how much actual work it would take to get our daughter focused on school for a portion of each day. We've never led a very structured life, and we tend to fly by the seat of our pants most of the time. I've found that doesn't really work with homeschooling because if we don't start in the morning, we won't get it done at all. We've fallen into Read more [...]
Andrews McMeel Publishing {Give The Gift Of Reading} + BIG Giveaway!
I received product from Andrews McMeel Publishing to facilitate this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
I am a huge advocate of reading books, both to and with kids. Engaging children in books from infancy has been shown to be widely beneficial. Studies have proven that growing up in a home packed with books has a large effect on literacy in later life. This is why I'm sharing some of the Read more [...]

When I discovered hand2mind, a company whose mission is to inspire students and support teachers and parents, I knew they'd have some great resources for us. Our (almost) six year old excels at math but she's not a Read more [...]
Capture The Flag Redux – Starlux Games Style {This Classic Game Now Glows In The Dark!}
I received product from Starlux Games to facilitate this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
Honestly, playing games, especially at night, can be for people of all ages. As a child and then teen, we'd play Kick The Can, Ghosts In The Graveyard, and Capture The Flag well into the night. Even as adults, last year at a graduation party, we played games past dark. However, the darkness did bring some issues. So when I saw the new Starlux Games Capture the Flag Redux Game, I was really Read more [...]
