Moving

We were hoping to move this weekend, and we went today to fill out papers and sign the lease, but found out that there are two women who work in the main office, and only one of them is allowed to accept/approve the papers, and that lady won't be in until Monday, so we are here for the weekend at least, which is alright. In a way it's nice because yesterday was my last day of exams, and I still don't feel 'wound down' from the semester so a few days to relax is nice. I am hoping to go yard saling Read more [...]

Think Twice by Lisa Scottoline review

I was sent this book free for the purposes of review, through goodreads.com. I was given an advance readers addition - meaning I was given this book to read before it was actually released in stores, which is really neat. When I am sent products for review, I write down the date they arrive, in order, so that I am sure to review the products on my blog in the order I received them. This one got pushed back a bit, which is a first for me, but I was hoping to read more of this book and just haven't Read more [...]

A simple, free way to help out on Earth way through Cascadian Farm Organic

What are you doing this earth day to help out? Although I am not participating in any large events (I don't know of any in my area) I have been thinking about ways that I can help change my lifestyle - not just for Earth day but because we are trying to become a greener, more organic, and healthier household. A few of my goals that I've been working on are: Not using plastic bags. Not using harsh cleaning chemicals. Reducing our energy use. Eating more organic and healthy. Cascadian Food Read more [...]

Personal post of random thoughts :)

Friday I had my last day of regular classes, now I just have to get through this week of final exams, and then move, and then I should have a blogging-life again. I am so ready :). Not really looking forward to moving though, at least not the work part of it. We just moved less than a month ago so it's hard to get excited about moving again. We don't own much though, the only 'big' things we have is our bed, two dressers, a small bookshelf and a very small tv stand. We had two computer desks but Read more [...]

Flexi-8 review & giveaway

Today I am going to tell you about this awesome new hair accessory called a flexi-8. At first glance, it appears pretty typical, or at least it did to me. However, what makes this accessory different than a regular clip or barrette, is it's flexibility. This clip can do so many different styles because it can hold various amounts of hair. From a half do shown above, to a french twist, and various other updo's. The flexi-8 comes in many different sizes, plus each clip has 3 different groves in Read more [...]

3 winners!

First I want to say - don't lie to get entries. I check! If you enter a lot of giveaways and aren't a million percent positive that you follow my blog, twitter, etc. then it takes two seconds to log into twitter, go to my twitter and see if it says you're following or not. Same goes for google friend connect, email, etc. Anyway, so because the first number that came up wasn't actually doing what they claimed they were, the new winner for the purse from lazy apples is... #2 - Jennifer (jkgorcery) Read more [...]

Ultimate blog party

If you haven't heard about the ultimate blog party yet, you should head on over to 5 minutes for mom and check it out. Basically, it's a huge party for anyone who wants to join in, who has a blog. You make a post and then go around to other people who have posted and get to meet new blogger friends. Plus, there's lots of awesome prizes being given away. I love to talk about myself, but surprisingly I don't think I've done a plain old 'about me' type post yet, so this will be the first. I Read more [...]

Natures paradise organics baby gift set review & giveaway

This poor review/giveaway has been a long time coming, but it's finally here! Nature's Paradise Organics is a family owned company that sells chemical and cruelty free products that are also vegan - for the entire family. They sell shampoos, lotions, body washes, facial care products, hand sanitizers and others. Natures paradise has the USDA certification, meaning they are 'truly' organic - not just claiming to be! I like to use organic, eco friendly or chemical free products whenever possible Read more [...]
