As crazy as it sounds, sending out Christmas Cards are one of the only times that I send out snail mail. Most of us have gotten so used to emails and online communication that we just don't spend the time to send out handwritten letters or cards. I look forward to the Holiday season when I get cards from various family members and friends. I love how most people have started buying personalized christmas cards now, often with their own photos included in the card. It's a neat way to keep family updated Read more [...]

I mentioned recently that I greatly cut back on drinking soda. My "soda of choice" is definitely mountain dew. When I saw that Cangles is a company that takes aluminum cans and with them creates upcycled bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry I thought this was such a neat idea. I love upcycled products of all kind, but I thought that using cans for bracelets was a neat form of popart. I chose two bracelets for review. The first was the moutain dew bangle bracelet. This bracelet is available in small Read more [...]

The sureflap is a microchip cat door, meaning a cat door that checks for a microchip before it allows an animal to move through the door. This way, if a stray cat, possum, etc try to come in the sureflap it simply won't open to allow them in. I Read more [...]

Every time that I get ready to buy Ryan a gift for something, I struggle for weeks over what to get. He's seriously the hardest person to buy for. He is interested in computers, technology, video games, movies, etc. Seems how we have a netflix and amazon prime subscription, we don't really ever buy physical copies of movies. We usually opt for downloadable video games as well, because they tend to be cheaper and the disk would probably get lost if we did buy a real game. So basically every Read more [...]

I've mentioned before how much I love etsy, and how I have a shop of my own. I'm a member of an etsy group called tradeaholics, where we have monthly trading events where we can trade items from our own shop for items from someone elses shop, for free except shipping. I've traded for many great items in the past and today I got to trade for another neat item from a great shop called Moonknight Jewels. From the time I was probably six or so I've had somewhat of an addiction to ramen noodles, Read more [...]
