European Toymaker Famosa, who is well known for quality, introduced Pinypon to the US market in 2012. I was pleased to partner with them to bring you this review on their Snow Ski Lodge Play Set and Snow Adventure Car & Tow Set.
The Pinypon Snow Ski Lodge Play Set is geared for ages 4 and up. When our kids saw this box, they were beyond excited. After opening, I realized that there was a little more preparation than I had thought. The Snow Ski Lodge itself was fairly easy to assemble as there were only a few pieces to snap on, but there is a sheet of stickers that took about 20 minutes to complete. I was happy to see that the stickers were labeled and the corresponding pictures on the instructions made this a painless task.
The Snow Ski Lodge Play Set includes 3 Pinypon friends, a puppy, and fifty accessories including: skis, snowmobile, sled, ice skates, snowman, food, and more. Something unique about Pinypon dolls though, is that they come apart into three pieces and can be mixed and matched. (An ice skater can quickly transform into a mermaid or fairy.) The lodge has a working ski lift, ski slope, and even a skating rink that you can freeze water in to have ice. That real ice rink was a huge hit since they could have the dolls skate. Because there is so many activities at the lodge, this play set brings hours of fun.
The Snow Adventure Car & Tow Set is the perfect final accessory to the Ski Lodge. The Car & Tow Set comes with a Pinypon doll, snowboard, skis, luggage and more. I like that we can store all the accessories in it when the kids are done playing too. The car is made really well and drives easily and is in almost constant use.
While all the pieces are not something I like in toys, it’s inevitable because kids love sets that have accessories. Thankfully, I’ve never had little ones who put everything in their mouths but if I did, we’d just play “Ski Lodge Vacation” on the table or in a bedroom. When I asked the kids their final thoughts on the Pinypon Play Sets, they said, “I love it!” and that’s what counts.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters.
