Chicken Soup for the Soul is a series of books that were first introduced in 1993 by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen.   Just as chicken soup is thought to be a great ‘cure all’ for our bodies, these books are aimed at making our souls feel cared for and tended to.   The subjects focused on in these books ranges from serious to lighthearted and are never disappointing.

Depending on the subject matter, Canfield and Hansen may invite another author or expert to join them in co-creating these books.

For my review, I received a book written by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Susan M. Heim.   This book is entitled Chicken Soup for the Soul “Here Comes the Bride”.   You get 101 Stories of Love, Laughter, and Family.   Not only will you find yourself laughing out loud and reminiscing about your own experience(s), but you’re also likely going to shed a few tears …but they’re “good tears”.

You will read Johanna’s story about her “Knight” and how he surprised her with a very creative proposal.  It’s never too late to tie the knot and 62-year old Barbara will tell you about her wedding dress and what she learned while experiencing her wedding.  …and there’s even a story about the famous last minute “cold feet” that some brides and/or grooms experience before they walk down the aisle.

These stories that I mention are just a small sampling of what awaits you when you pick up your own copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul “Here Comes the Bride”.

Chicken Soup for the Soul is on facebook and twitter.
