For dinosaur train fans, there is a lot of new stuff going on right now. Next week (starting August 13th) is Big Big Dinosaur Week which will include four brand new episodes of Dinosaur Train. You can check your local listings to find out what time the shows will be on.
Dinosaur Train is connected to the Jim Henson Company, who is teaming up with Amtrak this month called the big big dinosaur sweepstakes where one lucky family will win an amtrak vacation. You can enter here for your chance to visit Chicago, Washington Dc, and to visit the national museum of natural history, which has exhibits of dinosaurs!
Lastly, a brand new dinosaur train coloring book just came out yesterday, called the Big Big Dinosaurs Giant coloring book just came out yesterday. It’s pages are REALLY big (think small poster sized pages) and includes over 50 stickers as well. I was able to check out this coloring book with my 4.5 year old nephew Ty. He said he hadn’t heard of the Dinosaur Train tv show before which surprised me but he likes dinosaurs so he was impressed with the coloring book. Seems how the pages are so big, I wasn’t sure if he would have the patience to color an entire page at once but he did. The coloring book has a handle cut out so that it can easily be carried despite it’s large size.
