I’ve been blogging for just over three years now. When you’re a blogger, you spend a lot of time seated at a computer desk. Since I began blogging we’ve moved a few times and have had four different computer desks and countless chairs. The worst was after our regular computer chair broke (the back fell off) so for a few weeks we were using a chair from our kitchen table as a computer chair. It was wooden, had a straight back and a very thin cushion. My back hurt so much at the end of the day. As a result, we gave in and purchased a new computer chair. It worked fine until we got a new computer desk that was shorter in height and the chair didn’t adjust low enough to be comfortable. I’ve learned that having the right chair and desk combination can make a big difference in the amount of support your back gets during the day and how much back pain you end up with.

Sits4Less has a computer chair called the Leap Chair that is designed to support your back. It was developed based on 4 years of research, 27 scientists, 11 studies and 732 different test participants. It’s designed to lessen the likelyhood that you’ll have poor posture, because its Liveback feature changes shape to support your spine.

It has slats in the back and seat that are there to allow your body to breathe, keeping your temperature and moisture levels comfortable.

You can adjust the depth of the seat to fit your unique body size. There are controls that let you adjust the firmness of the lower back area based on your own comfort preferences. The arms of the chair can be moved up, down, forwards and backwards so that you can position them exactly where they are the most comfortable for you.

The set has a natural glide zone, so that when you begin to recline back, the seat glides forwards so that you stay the same distance away from your computer screen as you were previously. This allows you to move your position naturally which is good for your back.Plus, when you recline or reach forward, the seat edges flex so that there is less pressure on your spine. Last but not least, you can adjust the upper back force to alter how much “push back” you want to receive when you lean back.

I haven’t tried this chair out myself but it sounds like a great option for people who spend a lot of time in their computer chairs like I do.
