The Virtue Training Bible Kit was designed on the base of John 15:4-5. “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

I was sent a a Virtue Training Bible Kit for review.  After acquiring the kit, you will also need a few more things: your own Bible (version of your choice but Mindy recommends the ESV Bible), highlighters or colored pencils, and 2 packages of post-it tabs with 7 colors that match your highlighters.  Once you have all these things, you are ready to get to work creating your Virtue Training Bible.

The Virtue Training Kit includes a Key for the front of your Bible, instruction sheet, and charts that include over 500 Scripture references.  There is some time involved in getting your Virtue Training Bible Kit assembled.  I had several hours into putting my Virtue Training Bible together but if you would prefer, you can email Mindy for pricing on pre-made Virtue Training Bibles.  However, assembling my Virtue Training Bible gave me more time with Scripture.  This was also a perfect time to include my children’s help.  We were able to familiarize ourselves with the word of God together.

I have a hard time remembering things.  (Anyone else have that trouble after having kids?)  Even when I do manage to memorize Scripture, I have a hard time remembering where in the Bible it was located, which means I have a hard time finding it back at a moments notice.  So I find the Virtue Training Bible Kit is perfect in aiding me find what I’m looking for.

If you have children in your home, you may also want to check out the Child Training Bible Kit.  This kit focusses on twenty key areas so it’s not too overwhelming for children.  I think this would make a great gift and plan to get one for each of our children.
