I don’t know if it’s just the girls I know and myself, or all girls everywhere, but we love shoes. While I definitely owned more when I was younger, I still have a small selection to choose from daily. I guess my shoe obsession has spread to finding great shoes for my children so perhaps that’s why I don’t have as many for myself these days. With six pairs of feet in the house, mom’s usually come in second to last with dads feet pulling up the rear. I think he owns all of two pairs of shoes (not including his work boots that he wears in the barn each day.)
I found Shoe Carnival just recently and they agreed to partner with me on this review. Shoe Carnival is a great company that carries an assortment of brand name shoes. They have store locations scattered throughout the US but also have an online site available for those who don’t have a store near them. You can use their Store Locator Tool to learn your nearest Shoe Carnival location.
I was sent a pair of the Women’s Report Harlo Boots in Black for this review. I chose these boots because, even though I have never had high boots like these, I knew my sister would love them if they didn’t suit me. I was excited to try the Report Harlo Boots but unfortunately, I felt they were just a couple inches too high (up my leg) to be comfortable for me since I always have our four young children with me. (I didn’t think kneeling down doing multiple diaper changes a day would go well with these chic boots.) It doesn’t help that I am so short because if they would have been just below my knee instead of above, I think I would have loved them. So I made the call to my sister. She was ecstatic when I asked her if she’d like a new pair of tall boots.
My sister is short as well so the boots are just as high on her as they were on me. However, she’s not chasing after any children and works in a professional environment so she is going to get to use the Report Harlo Boots often. She says they are super comfortable and very stylish. The Harlo Boots can be worn as is or the collar can be tipped down for a folded look. Overall, she prefers the comfort and look of the folded style. Either way, she is enjoying her new boots and look they bring to her outfits.
The Report Harlo Boots are made from faux leather upper with fabric and manmade lining. There is a full length zipper on the back of the boot. The zipper runs smoothly until the bottom. It seems to catch slightly about an inch or two from the bottom where the seam line is but I think with use, it will loosen up and run smooth the whole way. Overall, these are gorgeous boots that are a great accessory to make a fabulous outfit.
Buy It: Head over to Shoe Carnival to see for yourself the great selection they offer. The Report Harlo Boots are currently on sale for $64.98. They carry full lines for men, women, girls, boys, and infants. Shoe Carnival has you covered for athletics, sandals, dress, boots, casual, work & safety, slippers, and accessories.
I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
