I can still remember my very first purse.  I was about 8 or 9 years old and my Aunt surprised both my sister and I with new “jean material” purses.  I loved mine.  It had a Cameo Silhouette on it along with some burgundy colors behind.  I felt like such a grown up!  But, not only did she give us each a purse, she also included some money, about $5 if I recall correctly, in them as well.  I used that purse for years and when I did daycare, I dug it out and let the kids play with it.  While I no longer know where my first purse is, I still hold very fond memories of it and I still find it exciting any time I get a new purse.

I was sent the medium sized Smateria FAQ Shoulder Bag in Bordeaux.  Made from mosquito netting, which gives the purse a distinct personality, I really like that it can be carried in the “cross-body bag” style as well as on my shoulder or arm.  About a year ago, I discovered that it was much easier chasing after four kids if my purse was criss crossed over me and I didn’t have to worry about it falling off my shoulder.  So being able to carry my purse this way is a very important feature to me.

The Smateria FAQ Shoulder Bag also has some other great features.  There is a zipper along the top to secure all my stuff inside.  An outside diagonal pocket is the perfect place for my cell phone.  Inside, there is a zippered pocket as well as some other open pockets.  Finally, there is even a key ring attachment so I don’t lose my keys in the bottom of my purse all the time.

Overall, this purse is a fantastic Unique Handbag that has some really great features and has suited me well.  The only change I would make is to have it be not quite so deep.  Three inches shorter would be perfect for my preference.  Still, it’s cute, functional, and feels well made.  I think this purse will hold up for a long time and the design and color will hide dirt well.
