This time of year, the weather gets colder and the first tell tale sign is that my hands and feet get cold, even inside the house. As much as I love wrapping myself up on blankets on the couch, this strategy isn’t always possible. My second favorite – and more practical – strategy is to wear my funky Collegien slippers!

My feet are nice and warm AND stylish! They are perfect when I need to be on my feet and move around the house but I love them so much I’ve come to wear them all day long, no matter what I’m doing.

Collegien slippers are made in France and you can really see the European flavor in their choice of colors and patterns. Their slippers come in size US2.5 for babies all the way to a size US13 in men size so the whole family can stroll in style! There are 3 different models: you can choose ballet flats, slipper socks (ankle high) or knee highs. Collegien also offers coloful socks, tights, and other acessories.

Not only are their prints and patterns unique, the whole design of their slippers is innovative. The upper part is made of textile (cotton blend, wool, or other) while the sole is made of injected rubber. The soles are ultra flexible, allow feet and toes to move freely. They are perforated for maximum breathability which means feet are always at the perfect temperature. The soles are also covered in little spikes so they are not slippery at all.

As you can see, there are classic, modern, humorous designs and everything in between!  I personally opted for the Majorette ballet flats in Disco. The sparkling golden dots pop on the dark blue but they are also neutral enough to fit with any casual outfit.

These great slippers are as comfortable as they look. The perforated soles provide cushioning and protection but also enough aeration so that my feet don’t overheat and get sweaty. In fact, I have another pair which I got about a year ago that I wore through the summer. They were just as comfortable during hot summer days as they are now. In fact, I much rather wear my Collegien slippers than wear regular, hard soled shoes. It’s also way more convenient than wearing two pairs of socks in the winter. These slippers are so flexible they can be rolled up and secured with a rubber band so I like to put them in my purse when I know I’ll be wearing heels all day and my feet will need a rest at some point.
