Back in April I did a review of the March Carnivore Club Review. In that review I discussed how Ryan & I got to try out four meats in our carnivore club. I also discussed how we really enjoyed the entire experience and how it felt like we were on a little taste-testing adventure. Ryan even decided that one of the types of meat was one of the best foods he had ever tasted!
Needless to say, we were excited to try out the October Carnivore Club box as part of the gift guide. Our box came with a pamphlet that explained three of the four types of meat in our box, and information about one product that we didn’t get. Understandably, Carnivore Club has been getting a lot of new orders because the word has gotten out about how cool their subscription boxes are. Also understandably, as a media member, my sample was put at a lower priority than traditional customers so my box had one item in it that was different from other people’s because stock ran out.
The pamphlet explains a little bit about each product in your box and gives suggestions for what to eat it with. Ryan & I are not very adventurous so we’ve chosen to try each of the meats with some basic crackers but with the April box and again with the October box, we thoroughly enjoyed each item that way. With the October box I found myself amazed at how similar yet different the meats were. Based on my experience with buying meat in grocery stores, I felt like there were only a few ways to season sausages but each item in the box felt unique. Each variety feels intentionally seasoned in a way to bring out true flavor instead of just add spice or overwhelm the senses with a single type of seasoning.
We really enjoyed the entire experience again this month. I would love to get these boxes every month because they’re so fun to try out. A subscription or a single box would make a great gift idea for any meat lovers or foodies on your list. Carnivore Club is available in the US and Canada.
