February is here and that means it’s National Snack Food Month. It’s not hard to believe that there seems to be an endless variety of snacks available while I stroll down the aisles of the grocery store. I had truly thought I’d heard and seen of everything until recently when I was introduced to SeaSnax.
SeaSnax is a family company based out of Los Angeles who offers a large variety of organic seaweed snacks. The seaweed used in SeaSnax products is red algae or deep purple laver which is also called porphyra or nori. This seaweed is harvested, roasted, and packaged to make it readily available for everyone. All ingredients used in SeaSnax are high quality, natural, vegan, gluten free, and GMO free.
Chomperz are organic seaweed chips and are available in four flavors: Barbecue, Jalapeño, Onion, and Original. This snack line is filled with bite-sized pieces of seaweed that have been wrapped in a rice coating which, along with the different seasonings, offers a tasteful crunchy snack. I like that these have the coating which makes them look “less scary” to the kids. They never even questioned what the Chomperz were and just started popping them into their mouths. Our 9 year old daughter, who is one of our pickier eaters, was the last one at the table still munching these when everyone else was done.

Lots of different varieties and flavors for all preferences. While not every SeaSnax product we tried fit our taste buds preferences, our family definitely liked the Chomperz best and would suggest starting with that line for those who are a little less adventurous.
