Transporting the kids in a vehicle is a necessary evil since we live out in the country. Nothing is in walking distance except the great outdoors. This also means we are nowhere near public transportation. So I load the kids up and we head out when necessary. Sometimes, the kids get bored. Our current vehicle does not have a DVD player so they have no choice but to entertain themselves. That’s where Star Kids comes in.
Star Kids has two innovative products on the market, the Snack & Play and Play & Go. Both were created to make traveling and being on the go with children easier and more enjoyable. Created by a mom from a need she saw in her family, she was able to provide these safe practical items for all to enjoy.
The Snack & Play Travel Tray is made to be soft and collapsible for optimal safety and traveling ease. Built for use in car seats, strollers, and anywhere a child is sitting. There is built in strap to buckle around the child or stroller for added stability. There are padded side walls on three sides to keep toys and snacks contained. Star Kids also designed this Travel Tray with sturdy mesh side pockets on each side for additional storage.
We have found this tray to be a nice addition to car rides. Our oldest daughter loves to use it at a sturdy surface for coloring on and the pockets come in handy for her accessories. She has found this to be just as handy out of the car as in. The boys enjoy driving trucks and the Snack & Play Travel Tray is perfect for that because it keeps them from falling to the floor. The only improvement I would like to see at this time is a slightly sturdier base so it would be easier to use for writing with a pencil. It’s a little too soft for that unless using a notebook.
The Play-N-Go Tray Table Cover has built in activities abounding. Both sides are loaded with fun activities geared for children ages 6 months through 2 years including: peek-a-boo mirror, squeaky toy, crinkle sound toy, mesh pocket w/toy, photo pocket, button toy, zipper, and removable straps toys. This Cover also has a velcro strap which allows it to be easily secured to the Snack & Play Travel Tray, airplane tray, or even a high chair tray.
I really like this cover. The activities on it are colorful and eye catching. Plus, Star Kids included some skill building activities such as the zipper. It even holds our 4 month olds attention for a while even though she just grabs at the activities.
HEADS UP: Keep watch for the new Snack & Play Tray coming out soon that will incorporate a magnetic/dry erase surface for added fun!

I learned that there is a padded rim all the way around the tray to keep everything ON the tray! That is awesome! It looks a little floppy, so I’m hoping stuff will still stay on it, but I am willing to try it out with my granddaughter! She has a big trip coming up, so this would be so nice!!!
