Thank you to Philips AVENT for providing me with the following product, free of charge, in exchange for this review. All opinions are 100% my own.
I know I’ve been fairly lucky when it comes to nursing. While I did struggle with our first and my milk dried up when she was 6 months old, I have been able to successfully breastfeed the rest of our children longer, anywhere from 14 to 18 months. Now, baby number five is going strong at 6 months old.
Coming up soon, I will be leaving our littlest one for the first time for an extended amount of hours. Our two oldest children and I are having a fun outing with my mom and heading to a dinner theatre. I know we’ll have a great time but this leaves me with the problem of not being able to be home with our breastfed baby for about 9 hours straight. So Philips AVENT sent me their Comfort Manual Breast Pump to help.
I wanted to do a mini test run before the big day so I decided I’d just try to pump for five or so minutes. I did struggle at first because air was leaking somewhere. Once I realized the “cushion” on the edge of the massage cushion wasn’t fully on, I was able to get full suction. In just a couple minutes, I was able to get an ounce before the baby got crabby and I had to stop. Thankfully, this pump seems very easy to use and should do the trick when I’m gone!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
