I have lots of memories of my sister and I growing up and playing kitchen, house, and restaurant. The imagination and fun involved has left me with a desire for our children to experience the same joys. So, when our first child was just an infant, we purchased a kitchen center. My husband and I still reminisce about sitting in the living room with her when she was barely crawling and how she would always gravitate towards the old fashioned kitchen and play with dishes and accessories. As we’ve added to our family, the kitchen center has remained a staple in our toy room. So when I was offered the chance to partner with Learning Resources on a couple of their New Sprouts products, I was just as excited as the children.
We received the New Sprouts Waffle Time and New Sprouts Fresh Fruit Salad for review. The New Sprouts Waffle Time comes with 14 pieces including: waffle iron, syrup bottle, 4 piece waffle, 2 strawberries, 2 butter slabs, 2 plates, and 2 forks. I was pleasantly surprised that each and every single piece feels well made and sturdy. The waffle iron easily opens and closes so children can prepare their waffles easily. While the kids would have loved to have seen a syrup bottle with a flip open top, they have adapted to just pretending to pour out of this one with the cap in tact. I love that this set includes everything the kids need for a yummy breakfast!
The New Sprouts Fresh Fruit Salad consists of 18 pieces including: watermelon boat, 2 bowls, large serving spoon, 3 strawberries, 3 kiwi slices, 3 orange wedges, 3 berry clusters, and 2 pineapple rings. These pieces are just as well made and sturdy as the Waffle Time set and everyone absolutely loves the unique watermelon boat! The kids have really enjoyed adding this fruit set to their “breakfast” and the combination of Waffle Time and Fruit Salad makes for delicious and healthy fun. Our 4 year old loves talking to our 2 year old and telling him it’s waffle time, come and eat!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters.
