Little Balance Box

I have to say that one of my favorite stages is definitely the newborn stage.  Babies are so tiny and their features are just adorable.  I love how easy they are to hold and the fact that when you put them down, they stay in that place.  But babies don’t stay small.  The first year is filled with many changes and exciting milestones.  One very popular one is when they begin to walk.  Once my babies start crawling, I’m anxious for them to walk for the simple fact that crawling wrecks their clothes!  Plus, little ones toddling around is super adorable.  This milestone can be nerve wracking though.  It’s hard watching my little girl stumble and fall as she tries to gain coordination and build muscle to accomplish the skill of walking.  Just recently, I came across an ingenious product that I wish we would have found months ago!

The Little Balance Box is a small table that is the perfect height for infants and toddlers. It encourages babies to pull themselves up and then slides easily on carpet or hard floor and helps provide a stable place to hold on to and walk!

The Little Balance Box is made from sustainable bamboo and helps provide a supportive and stable aid for little ones.  Assemble was very simple as we just had to align the edges and top and then place 4 screw in the pre-drilled holes.  The screwdriver tool was even included in the box!  This process took less than 5 minutes to unbox and be ready for use.

The free-floating feet easily glide on both carpet or hard floors without damaging them.  Our little girl just turned 1 and is not yet walking but absolutely loves to toddle around with her Little Balance Box!  The clear polycarbonate top makes a fun “drum” sound when tapped and she discovered that feature right away.  Babies love pounding on pots and pans and I love that she now has her own drum any time she wants without needing to empty my cabinets.  The Little Balance Box is fairly lightweight and offers a simple and appealing design.  The top also doubles as a little table and it’s perfect to put snacks on or to use as a play surface.

I really like the fact that the Little Balance Box assists our daughter while still giving her the freedom of movement.  She doesn’t need to be confined to a contraption to have the support she needs while practicing walking and she is loving every second!

I was researching jumpers, walkers, and exersaucers, as my daughter is about to turn four months old, and I figured that they would aid in her motor development. Turns out, not only can these things actually delay motor development, but they can also be harmful to bone structure (namely hip alignment). I will be avoiding those for that reason; however, this is positively genius! Thanks for the review, I will consider investing in one!

This looks really neat–I’d love to get it for my daughter.

What a unique idea and it reminds me of how the elderly attach tennis balls to their walkers for more balance and help walking! I’d recommend of course closely monitoring the kids until they get the hang of it.

I hope she loves it as much as our daughter did! I know it helped her learn to walk sooner too. 🙂
