The PMS Package - Subscription Box Review October 2016 | Emily Reviews
By Emily Benzing

October 16th, 2016

Thank you to The PMS Package for sending me this box in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I absolutely dread a specific week each month. If you’re a woman, you know exactly what I mean. From cramps, headaches, mood swings, cravings – us women seem to go through it all. It’s hard to feel great during your period, so I was really searching for something that could make a difference. I came across The PMS Package and contacted them to see if they wanted to do a review and I’m so happy that they said yes.

The PMS Package is a monthly subscription box that caters to women who also dread that time of the month. What’s great about this service is that you can pick which date the box gets delivered to your house. It comes just in time to make you feel better! There are a lot of products in the box ranging from sweets, snacks, chocolates, personal care products, coffee, tea, and other feel good items. You can even add on Midol or tampons for an extra couple of dollars.

The PMS Package comes in three types of boxes you can choose from.

  • The Mini Box: $15.00/mo, 1 pound package, 8-10 items
  • The Original Box: $25.00/mo, 1.5 pound package, 12-14 items
  • The Premium Box: $30.00/mo, 2.5 pound package, 18-20 items

Each box comes in a cute, pink package with a quote taped on the inside. This month’s quote is “Knowledge is knowing what to say. Wisdom is knowing whether or not to say it.”

Snacks/Sweets

Each box comes with a variety of snacks and sweets. This month includes:

  • Whole Grain Pretzel Goldfish
  • Sour Patch Kids
  • 4 rolls of SweeTarts
  • Mini Nilla Wafers
  • 2 packages of Swedish Fish
  • Boulder Canyon Sea Salt Kettle Cooked Chips
  • The Toasted Oat Dark Chocolate+Cherry Granola
  • Awake Energy Granola
  • Awake Chocolate Bar
  • Crunch Bar
  • Jelly Belly Jelly Beans
  • Haribo Gummy Bears

I thought this month’s snacks were great. There was a great variety between sweet & chocolate-y. I would honestly eat everything in here which usually doesn’t happen with some subscription boxes. It seems like The PMS Package makes an effort to not include snacks that contain allergens like tree nuts or peanuts. I’m allergic to tree nuts, so I know how hard it can be to find subscription boxes who can work around that.

Personal Items

The PMS Package also comes with a variety of personal care items and other products perfect for relaxing. October’s box includes:

  • Owl Stuffed Plush
  • 1 Hour Break Everyday Stress+Anxiety Relief Kava Spray
  • Bath Bomb
  • LoveLeeSoaps Macaroon Orange Scented Soap
  • Turquoise Anchor Peppermint Lip Butter
  • Blue Poppy Southern Peach Body Lotion
  • Blue Poppy Cucumber Melon Mini Soap
  • Luminessence Pumpkin Pie Candle
  • Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Body Lotion
  • TopiCanna Topical Healing Cream
  • Star Charm Bracelet

I was amazed at the amount of personal care items! The only negative thing was that my peach body lotion spilled in the box. I had to wipe everything off and make sure it didn’t get in any of the snacks. I think the variety is nice too besides the fact that there is two soaps and two lotions in the box. I think they could of made everything a little different, but regardless the amount of items is great. I will definitely use all of these things.

A few of my favorite items in the box are the bath bomb, star bracelet, candle, lip balm, and the full sized Crunch bar.

Overall, I think this box is great for women of all ages who need a little comfort during their period. The amount of snacks and personal care items you get makes it worth every penny. It definitely made my period a little more bearable.

Wow! This is such a great idea for a subscription box! It comes with everything that I would want when that time of the month comes along, and the best part is not having to go to the store for it all! 🙂

I like the box, and I don’t even have PMS anymore ! I think also there needs to be a pair of earplugs 🙂 I especilly like the personal items for just a bit of pampering, I think that the best part. Looks like aa cute box and one that would prove worth its weight in gold.

This is a cute way to cheer a girl up. Sometimes words just don’t work but this would add some comfort.

I think it’s a really cute box, a great idea, and it is more convenient than having to get out to go somewhere to get the things you need for that time of month. The only thing I’m not crazy about is that they choose the snacks. Every girl isn’t going to crave or like the same things. Like I don’t like sour candy and I don’t always crave something with Chocolate. What if you bought a box, but you didn’t want or like everything in the box. But you spent $30 on it? I’d rather just go to the store instead and pick out things that I know I’d eat. I know there’s a budget depending on what package you get. But it would be great if they had a list of snacks that you could pick out yourself. Overall it’s a great idea, but there could be a couple of improvements. Just being realistic.

Actually you’re being very unrealistic. Thus Is a box that has been assembled by someone who obviously does not know you. There’s obviously a very high chance you would not want or like the things in the box duh!

I mean how can someone who doesn’t know you know your favourite snacks. It’s dumb to think there would be a list of snacks you can pick from, that defeats the purpose!!!! And also defeats the similarity of each month’s comtents.

You already sound like a whiner anyway so yea go to the store and spend your $30 the way you like. This is for people who like the surprise and variety of wha comes in the box!
