I was sent a ThreadLab order. All opinions are my own.
My boyfriend always seems to be in need of new clothing. He’s rough on his clothes and he’s been on a weightloss journey for over a year now, so he has changed sizes several times. While it’s exciting to watch him drop clothing sizes, it’s been tough to keep is closet updated with clothing that fits because he hates going clothes shopping for himself.
I had considered using a clothing subscription service to get him clothing without him having to spend time at the mall. However, I knew he was too picky when it comes to color, style and fit to have good luck with a traditional clothing subscription service.
ThreadLab is a great middle-ground between shopping in store for yourself, and going with a subscription service.
ThreadLab is a service that creates a style profile for you. You tell ThreadLab your size, style, fit, price range and color preferences. From there you can place an order for anywhere from just a couple of items, to a couple of outfits. ThreadLab will go to work creating an order that suits your preferences, but before it ships you will be able to accept or deny each item that they planned to include. If you aren’t interested in an item you can submit the order without that clothing item (and your total will be lowered) or you can request that your stylist choose another item to replace the value.
For Ryan I was able to put in his color preferences. Generally speaking Ryan prefers dark and neutral clothing. He wears a lot of grey, blue, brown, dark reds. In his ThreadLab profile I was able to share Ryan’s favorite and least favorite colors. I also put in the size info he needed.
We chose the $150 ThreadLab order which includes 3-5 items. In the order preview I accepted a hoodie and two shirts for Ryan. Sometimes ThreadLab ships items directly. In other cases they work with clothing brands who will ship directly from that brand to you. One of Ryan’s items shipped from ThreadLab, while the other two were sent directly from the brands.
As a fun blogger perk, they also sent me some socks that will be showing up in many ThreadLab orders. In the past Ryan has been sent socks from ThreadLab and they quickly became some of his favorites. They also threw in an undershirt. It feels really smooth and is very stretchy so it’s very comfortable.
As far as the regular ThreadLab items, we were happy with the quality of all three. Everything looks and feels beautifully made. It’s clear that ThreadLab chooses which clothing items they include in their orders carefully. The hoodie is thick and sturdy and offers a unique look that I haven’t seen elsewhere. I like how the one shirt has a button panel with a different color and type of fabric on the inside for a bit of flair. The last shirt is a great “staple” item that I know Ryan will get lots of wear out of. He loves plain button-up shirts because they can be dressed up or down depending on the situation.
Overall we were pleased with our ThreadLab experience again. If you’re looking to do holiday clothes shopping for a teenager (who fits mens sizes) or man in your life consider ThreadLab. Or if you’d like to let them use ThreadLab on their own you can purchase a gift card so they can place their own order that way.

I really like this idea. My husband hates to clothes shop. This would be just what he needs. I like all the options you have for picking out clothes.

I love the choices! I like that they paid attention to his color choices and preferences and didn’t stray far from his comfort zone!! I love the sweatshirt that they sent!! That is something my hubby would LOVE!!
I think this is a great way to get some guys interested in dressing better. For those guys who hate shopping and could care less what they wear, it can get them started . I love the selections here, especially the hoodie.
