In just a few short days, it’ll be time to celebrate the gift of love. Whether sending the kids off to school with Valentine’s and treats, creating a special night out with the sweetheart in your life, or just hanging out with friends, I love taking some extra time to just be with the ones I love. This year will be the first time that my kids will get to exchange Valentines in a few years. Since we homeschool, unless we are participating in a co-op, that part gets overlooked. Since we recently joined 4H though, the kids are excited for the upcoming party next week.
Sending a big thank you to Otis Spunkmeyer for sending us these delicious goodies!

Otis Spunkmeyer Sweet Treats are not the ordinary, run of the mill goodies. Their delicious assortment of cookies, muffins, and snack cakes are just as tasty as the ones you remember from back when you were a kid except they eliminate the funky stuff! No more worrying about what’s inside as they strive to continually improve their yummy snacks. They offer their customers fewer ingredients, simpler recipes, no artificial colors, no high fructose corn syrup, and no artificial flavors.

So if you’re on the lookout for a fun and easy snack that will pass the classroom “store bought” test, create these fun Otis Spunkmeyer kabobs for the kids. Just alternate your favorite cupcake or loaf with fruit like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries for a smashing success. For the younger crowd, cut the cupcakes and fruit in half for smaller bites. They look pretty and taste fantastic!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

I really like Valentine’s Day because of all the chocolate I get to eat! (Or not…)

I love the idea of snacks on a stick. That is cute and the kids can do it. I will let the girls make their own for their friends. Thank you for the idea.
