Thank you to smarTrike for sending product in exchange for my honest opinion in this review.

My daughter is almost two years old. It is so crazy how much children change, grow and learn in their first two years of life! We have a closet full of ‘baby’ products that she has outgrown, that we are saving for the future. Now more than ever, I really appreciate products that grow with the child. I am excited to get the chance to partner with smarTrike to share with you their smarTfold 7 in 1 Folding Trike, which does just that.

The 7 in 1 smarTrike smarTfold Folding Trike is designed for babies starting as little as nine months and up to three yeas old. It features a revolutionary design that makes it easy and convenient for busy parents. It has a truly no hassle assembly. There were no tools required, and I put it together all by myself within a matter of about two minutes. I just followed the pictures on the directions and with a few clicks I had the trike ready to use. As you can see above, it folds down easily and is compact enough to fit in the durable storage bag that is included. It is perfect for traveling and storaging. Although it is a full size trike, it folds flat in seconds and easily fits in the truck of a car.

The smarTrike 7 in 1 Folding Trike has patented Touch Steering technology, which provides a smooth and easy ride, as well as effortless maneuverability. This enhanced steering system allows the trike to grow with the child.

When the child is nine months old, the trike will be in “parent mode” (first picture below). The parent controls the steering much like a stroller. The handle has a soft grip and telescopes up and down so it is comfortable to push. As your little one grows and develops, they can learn how to steer and pedal. As they grow more comfortable, you can easily switch from “parent mode” to “child mode” (second picture below). With just the touch of a button, the child can control the steering and pedals on their own.

At almost two, we are still using the trike in Parent Mode. My daughter’s petite little legs couldn’t quite reach the pedals yet, but my hope is by next summer (at 2.5 years old) we will hopefully be able to switch it to Child Mode so she can pedal around the driveway all by herself. I can already picture us taking the smarTrike for walks to the post office and to the park when it warms up.

As you can see above there are three options for where the child keeps their feet, either straight up, on the stationary foot pegs or on the pedals. The area where she has her legs up can be removed when the child is ready to pedal. The sun visor is also removable. I appreciate the basket on the back, a great place to put house keys, phone, the mail, a snack, etc. when on the go. This particular model does not include a cup holder (other models do). That is the only thing I didn’t love, otherwise this smarTrike smarTfold 7 in 1 gets two thumbs up from myself and my daughter!

Genius! It’s a great way version of a stroller. Seems like a fun time for the little ones.

  • Now this trike is just plain awesome! Gish what haven’t they thought of on it? It has everything! I need an adult version of this thing I am telling ya. I love it.

Love the look of this one!! Sleek and stylish instead of obnoxious and outrageous! I love the storage area and the compact fold!! Seriously fabulous!! Plus I adore that it grows with your kiddo so will last a long time!!

What a clever idea. It looks like a good way to get little legs to comprehend pedaling. We are big cyclists in our family. You can never start too early I say!

My great niece is almost 15 months old and I am looking for something special for her and I think this might be it. I like that it folds up and does not take a lot space.

I love the awning. It is much needed here in Florida. Beautiful design. My 2 year old daughter would love this.

I think this is so clever. A child can ride but a parent or caretaker can still have some control. I also am liking the awning to help protect against the sun and elements. It is amazing how small thisfolds down to!
