I recently learned about a company called Gentle Friends. Gentle Friends offers their customers, a line of safe holistic pet care. Their products are designed to help keep our fur-babies happy and healthy. Gentle Friends uses certified organic botanicals to make sure their products are gentle on pets’ skin, good for you, and good for the environment.
For my (Kenya’s) review, we received a collection of Gentle Friends products including All In One Deodorizer, Dry Shampoo, Shampoo Bar, Ear Oil, Gentle Shampoo, Shine – Conditioning Rinse, and Wound Wash.
Even before opening the shipping package, I could smell the botanical bouquet of these products. It smelled like I was walking through a field full of blooming herbs and flowers on a warm summer day. It was absolutely heavenly!
The first product Kenya and I tried, was the Ear Wash. She doesn’t normally like having her ears cleaned. Per the package instruction, I applied a little bit of the Ear Wash solution to a cotton ball and then used it to massage the inside of Kenya’s ear. She let me rub her ears without pulling away.
The next two products we tried were the Gentle Shampoo and Shine – Conditioning Rinse. They both felt great as I applied them to Kenya. After drying her off, I could see that her coat was clean and shiny. She felt soft and silky.
Kenya tends to have dry irritable skin….or as her vet calls it, “gross skin.” My hope is that Gentle Friends products will help with control her gross skin and/or prevent future issues.
Kenya smells good and looks great. She is ready for holiday photos!

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. I had never heard of this brand. I really love that they are eco-friendly and are creating healthier products for pets. I’m really interested in checking out the Ear Wash. My pets ears brother them pretty often and I have to clean them frequently.

We need these products. With dogs and cats and rescue animals passing through lots of dogs baths and even wound care happens around here.

I don’t have any fur babies any more but my nieces and sister law have dogs and this sounds like something they need to try. The nice thing is sounds like these problems would be good for skin problems.

I havent seen these products before. I do prefer using natural products as much as I am able. I think like people, pes are exposed to a whole lot of chemicals. I bet your dog didnt pull away just due to the smell not being a chemical one. I do hope this improves your dogs skin, that dry and flaky stuff is tough to control. It sounds like nice products.

Yes yes yes to natural and gentle products!! <3 So much love for companies that consider pets as family too!! We wouldn't put those nasty chemicals on us and we shouldn't on them!!

These seem really nice. I only use organic or natural products on my pets. I usually use the same shampoo that I make for myself and my husband on my pets but sometimes I mix it up and use a natural product on my cats and dogs. I would love to try these out.

We came upon Gentle Friends by accident – June of 2017, when looking for a natural shampoo for out dog while on vacation in Utah. I was very happy with the shampoo and the Shine did make her coat look good, she just couldn’t tolerate the ACV very well. Fast forward to 2018.. I placed an order with them at the end of February (27th) and have had to make repeated contact with them to receive my order. So maddening! I was never given a tracking number and I waited and waited. After multiple contacts, the shampoo arrived, but without the other product that I had ordered. Now waiting for that to arrive, though I have still not heard if it’s even shipped, as of April 3rd, 2018. I live in WA, not THAT far from Utah, for crying out loud! I sure hope they can get their act together because I believe their products are good… just terrible customer service.
This is a product I would certainly use if I still had pets. Gentle on pets and the environment.
