Thank you to Goliath Games & Pressman Toys for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Goliath Games & Pressman Toys are two companies that not only provide their customers with quality games that are entertaining as well as educational, but they also have a wide selection of puzzles for all ages.

For my review, I received the Lucky Ducks game, Wordsearch, and The Wimpy Kid 10-Second Challenge. I was also provided with two puzzles that are both 504 pieces and part of the Images of America line.

Our family consists of three generations of game players. The games I received were suitable for players as young as 3 on up to adults. This is perfect for our family because the youngest player is 2+ years of age.

I’ll start with the puzzles first. My husband and I love to put puzzles together when we “turn off the rest of the world”. By that, I mean when we unplug electronics and spend quiet time together. Sometimes, it’s just the two of us and other times we’re joined by family and friends of all ages. Even though the puzzles that we received are geared more toward teenagers or adults, I’m positive some of our “tweens” are going to enjoy finding the right pieces also. One puzzle is a gorgeous rainbow arching over a field of multicolored flowers. The other puzzle is called Hollywood Dreams and it captures a classic car, a theater audience, and a young man selling balloons (you have to see it to believe how the artist can combine three such random objects into one puzzle).

The first game that caught my attention was the Lucky Ducks Game which is geared toward two to four players that are 3 years of age or older. I had a 5-year old help me set it up and she was having great fun, putting the eyes on the ducks and the stickered designs on the bottom of each duck. The object of the game is to be the first to collect the three ducks that match the shape you have selected (there are four shapes).

Wordsearch is a game designed for two to four players in the 7 and above age group. The goal of this game is to find the hidden words…but the other players may take some of your letters if the find a word that crosses over yours.

We have several members of the family who are in love with the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series so when I saw The Wimpy Kid 10-Second Challenge, I knew we had to have it. This game is all about completing the challenge you have been given in 10-seconds or less. Two to six players can enjoy this game at one time and it’s suggested for 8 years of age or older.

I’m so excited to play these games and put the puzzles together. I can foresee many hours of fun for the entire family. A perfect way to “unplug” from electronics and enjoy one another’s company.

The word search sounds fun! It’s reminds me of Boggle just more advanced.

The Word Search game looks like fun. Plus I would think that it would make for good brain candy.

You just gave me a great idea. My niece birthday is coming up and I think she will receive a family gift. She has a 16 yr old and a 14 yr old so games and puzzles it is. Why this will work is that they don’t have cell phone reception at their home and as for TV it is only movies

These look fun. Family game nights are such great things. Game nights give everyone time to unplug, and spend time together. The fun, the sometimes banter is always times you make memories.

My family loves playing board games together, especially during these cold winter break days. I am loving the Word Search game. I have never seen this game in stores, and need to check it out.
