Storkcraft Davenport glider review

Thank you to Storkcraft for providing me with product in exchange for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

My husband and I consider ourselves to be a pretty minimal couple, more so now than when we were first together. Even in the bringing of our relationship we decided to not overload on material things for our first born child. We had a hand me down glider just because I wasn’t even sure we would really need one. I found out quickly just how useful a rocking chair could be.

Our hand me down glider creaked, and loosened as time went on and we found ourselves in need for a new chair by the time my second came along. With my second child we adopted an oversized lazy boy recliner. We felt that our first born was still going to need a ton of cuddle time and what better to do than cuddle while baby slept in my arms! This chair was so large it fit my husband in it too but it took up a ton of space in our already small living room. The chair only rocked and honestly wore out pretty quickly with a broken bolt or two that weren’t fixable so at last we retired it.

Now that we are expecting baby number three we knew that we would need a high quality glider that could last us the entirety of rocking a little one.

Storkcraft has so many adorable options from gliders, to swivel gliders and more with so many pattern and print options to match any decor. We went with the Davenport Swivel Glider in the color Shadow to match the rest of our living room decor. With none of the rest of our living room furniture having no focal point this chairs swivel function works perfectly as No matter where it is placed you can turn towards any direction of our room.

The assembly of this chair was incredibly easy as it came in just two pieces, they just needed to be lifted and pushed until a click was heard. The base of this chair is quite sturdy in that you don’t feel like you’re going to tip even at the peak of the glide. This chair is more stiff than a lazy boy but I honestly really enjoy that so no one gets too lazy or sleepy with little one in their arms.

Storkcraft has made an awesome nursery/baby chair and I can’t wait to gaze down at our little one as they slowly and softly drift into dream land. Me and one of my littles can fit in this chair side by side for now and we read books together while waiting for their siblings arrival. They are so excited to sit and rock baby by themselves that they even take some time to practice with their babies!
