Today, I want to share with you a new fast-passed novel for young readers, called The Ambrose Deception.

In The Ambrose Deception, three unlikely heroes, Melissa, Wilf, and Bondi, have been chosen to compete for a prestigious $10,000 academic scholarship. The three students must solve clues that have been hidden all over Chicago. Each of the three contestants works independently trying to solve the clues. After a while, they all begin to grow suspicious and begin to wonder whether the competition is a hoax. Melissa, Wilf, and Bondi decide to work together to uncover the truth behind the Ambrose Deception. What they uncover is a lot more than a scholarship.

The Ambrose Deception is an entertaining twist on an Amazing Race-style competition. The three clever characters run into exciting twists and turns along their journey. Can you solve the mystery before Melissa, Wilf, and/or Bondi do? Who will win the competition?

The Ambrose Deception was written by Emily Ecton. It is suggested for readers in grades 3-7, especially those who enjoyed reading Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library. The Ambrose Deception is scheduled to hit store shelves on February 13, 2018.

I don’t normally read my daughter’s books. However, The Ambrose Deception caught my attention. After my older daughter had read the book, my younger daughter and I decided to read it out-loud together. We had fun trying to guess what would happen next in the story. The Ambrose Deception kept us on the edge of our seats and made us giggle at the same time. The characters were very relatable and loveable. We give The Ambrose Deception two/four thumbs up!

I think I would have to read this one too. It sounds interesting, and it is fun it is Chicago based. Now you make me wonder why they think it is a hoax, and how they work together. I think the names of the characters are very unique too.

This sounds like such a good book! My daughter is just beginning to really enjoy reading (and venturing from picture books) so I definitely want to get this for her. I think I would enjoy reading it too! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
