Thank you to D-Link for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

We live out in the sticks. Our remote location makes it difficult to have a secure Wi-Fi connection. If more than one person is trying to use a Wi-Fi connected device, you might as well give up. Multiple users cause a laggy system or a complete freeze. It is frustrating, to say the least.

When I was asked to review the D-Link DIR-882 High-Speed Wi-Fi Router, I thought this could be the answer to our problem.

Let me tell you a little about the D-Link DIR-882. The DIR-882 was designed for 4k streamers and gamers, though it works well for all applications.

Key features of the D-Link DIR-882 include:
Dual Band Wi-Fi Performance (up to 800 + 1733 Mbps in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
Powerful Dual-Core Processor
MU-MIMO Ready
4 x 4 Data Streams
80/160 MHz Support
USB 3.0/2.0 Port
High Power Antenna
QoS prioritizes network traffic for seamless streaming
DLNA Support
Advanced AC SmartBeam
Gigabit WAN and LAN Ports

Setting up the D-Link DIR-882 was fairly simple when using the included instructions. It took me somewhere between five and ten minutes to complete. I imagine it will take someone knowledgeable in the area even less time.

After installing the D-Link DIR-882 we noticed an increase in streaming speed. We are now able to use multiple Wi-Fi devices at the same time. It makes working and studying from home much easier!

I suspect that if we update our modem and upgrade to faster internet service, we will see even better results. I hope to do this in the next few weeks.
