Thank you to PBS Distribution for sending product in exchange for this review.

My two year old daughter loves to watch cartoons. I am wary about what sorts of shows I let her watch, and for how long. We get PBS where we live and the only cartoons we allow her to watch on TV come from PBS. We appreciate that if she is going to be spending time sitting down and watching TV that she is at least learning while she is watching. Her favorite shows right now are Super Why and Wild Kratts. I was excited to partner with PBS Distribution to share with you their newest children’s show DVD selections.

Wild Kratts Adventures on the African Savannah – The Food Chain Game and Creature Power Challenge. Featuring Martin and Chris Kratt, the Wild Kratts Team learn about the relationships between predators and prey. They also learn the difference between carnivores and herbivores. This DVD features two exciting adventures on the African Savannah – learning about the food chain and a contest to find out which is stronger – elephant or rhino powers! Run time is 55 minutes. Our daughter asks for this DVD often!

Nature Cat – Onward + Pondward.
This DVD features seven stories: Welcome to Vernal Pond, Puddle Pool Party, Stream and Shout, Swamp Thing, There’s Gold in Them Thar Hills, Earth Day Today, and Earth Day Every Day. Backyard explorer extrordinaire Nature Cat and his friends learn where streams begin, investigate swamps, ponds and other environments. Run time is 90 minutes. Nature Cat encourages your child to get outside and explore.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Double Feature – Daniel Goes Camping and Tiger Family Trip.
This DVD features 10 tales including Backyard Camping, Daniel’s Sleepover, Nighttime in the Neighborhood, Tiger Family Trip, Visiting Grandpere, The Tiger Family Goes Back Home, The Neighborhood carnival, Fireflies and Fireworks, The Lemonade Stand and Mad at the Beach. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood builds on the PBS Series that many of us grew up with – Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. These engaging stories help children develop important social and emotional skills. These shows are geared especially for preschoolers. Run time is 170 minutes.

Dinosaur Train – Meeting New Friends.
This DVD invites kids to hop on the Dinosaur Train and learn about dinosaurs, life science and natural history. This DVD includes 8 stories: Rafting the Cretaceous, Stop and Smell the Flowers, Double-Crested Trouble, Tiny and the Crocodile, Triassic Turtle, Tiny’s Tiny Friend, Beating the Heat and Hootin’ Hadrosaurs! Meeting new friends is always fun. Your little ones will fall in love with the Pteranodon family, just like my daughter has! Run time is 100 minutes.

If I had kids they would only watch PBS. That channel has the best kid’s shows.

Dinosaur Train is one of my kiddo’s favorite shows. They are always surprising me with dinosaur knowledge.

I love PBS shows, I fondly remember watching them as a kid as well. I love that I can have my kids enjoy all of the awesome new cartoons now. Thanks for sharing the new ones!

My great niece is almost 2 and she loves disney cartoons. Well have to admit I remember them as a kid and they were just cartons. The Mickey and friends that I watched with her last week was full of learning. They had numbers, shapes and colors to just mention a few I was totally surprised.
I am very impressed with these PBS shows you are talking about. I don’t watch a lot of PBS and normally would not even stop for cartons. But I need to check these out because I really like the Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Double Feature – Daniel Goes Camping and Tiger Family Trip

I love PBS. Ithink the shows on PBS are much more closely monitored than on any other channel. The vast majority of the ‘cartoons’ also seem to have some depth to them. You feel much safer letting them watch PBS than other options like say Cartoon Network which really has some unusual things there.

My girls loved PBS Kids shows when they were little. They are so much better than some of them on other channels. Arthur was their favorite!

I am glad there are DVD’s for our little ones which are not only fun to watch, but educational. The earlier the little ones start learning the better. These kinds of tapes were not available when my kids were young. They also would make great gifts.
