I was sent a travel pillow from Honeydew for review. All opinions are my own.
Remember my Honeydew Scrumptious Side-Sleeper pillow review? The Honeydew Scrumptious side-sleeper pillow was my favorite item from our whole 2019 holiday gift guide! I loved how the curved bottom of the pillow made it possible to get the pillow up under the side of my face without smashing excess pillow material into my shoulder. However, I also thought it would be nice if the edge of the pillow would be behind my back when on my side. The regular Scrumptious Side Sleeper Pillow was too wide for that. I thought the travel-sized Scrumptious pillow might be a better fit. So, I was excited to get a chance to try out the Honeydew travel-sized scrumptious pillow.
At a glance, the travel-sized scrumptious pillow looks to be the same price as the full size (both are $99). However, the travel-sized pillow includes a pillowcase while the full-sized scrumptious pillow cover has to be purchased separately.
The full sized pillow is 27.5 inches by 15 inches. The travel scrumptious pillow is 21 inches by 12 inches. I really like the size of this pillow in terms of with and depth. It doesn’t seem too small for regular use, for me. The pillow itself has the same exterior material as the full-sized one. It’s nice and soft so it would be comfortable to use without a pillow case. However, it’s nice that it comes with a pillowcase seems how the pillow is not a standard rectangle shape.
While I enjoy the size of the travel-sized pillow the way I hoped I would, it seems to be slightly thinner. The full-sized scrumptious pillow was already a bit thin for me (though not too thin, it’s sort of on the line for me). The travel pillow is a bit more shallow so it does feel too narrow for me. I tried using it for about a week to see if I could get used to it, but I just couldn’t use it without my arm being under it to raise its height and then I woke up with shoulder pain from having my arm in that position all night. Of course, everyone has different preferences I pillow height and I know that I prefer taller pillows than most of those around me. Still, I wish this were thicker as that would truly make it my perfect pillow. I’ve gone back to using the regular Scrumptious Pillow and still love it.

That looks like a really comfy travel pillow. I like that it comes with a pillowcase.

I have the full size pillow and really like it. Wish there were pillowcases available for them but have absolutely no complaints otherwise.

Looks like a good pillow for travel. I agree with you though. I prefer mine to be thicker so the regular Scrumptious Pillow would come closer to being right for me.
I have been thinking about getting a travel pillow and this is one I would like to try. It sounds soft and comfortable and since I like pillows that are shallow it might work well.
