My kids have really started to love doing art this past year. I love to encourage their creativity but I’ll admit, I have a hard time with the mess. Plus, with my husband’s job we’re usually traveling a few days a week so we can’t exactly bring art supplies with us. I learned that doing something with your hands while listening to an audiobook actually helps you retain the story better, so it’s a win-win!

Lately we’ve been taking them on long car rides and the kids can color them on some vehicle trays we picked up at Target. This mat is so smart. This would be perfect for my great niece (6) She could be coloring on the mat at bar while mommy is cooking. And then when I was time to put it away wipe it off. I really like this and would make a great chrismas gift for zay
