Playing Sports Can Reap Many Benefits
There are many benefits to playing sports. Introducing kids to sports at a young age is an especially great idea. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve never pushed our kids into organized sports teams and crazy schedules, but we have introduced them to a variety of sports and given them opportunities for playing.
Some benefits from participating in sports can include:
- Many athletes do better academically. Playing a sport requires a lot of time and energy but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sports requires memorization, repetition, and learning — skillsets that are directly relevant to class work. The determination and goal-setting skills a sport requires can be transferred to the classroom too.
- Sports teach teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Physical health benefits of sports can include getting into shape, building muscle, and even encourage good decision making like avoiding smoking and drinking.
- Sports boost self-esteem as kids watch their hard work pay off and they achieve goals.
- Exercising is a natural way to loosen up and let go of stress so playing sports is the perfect avenue to do this!

As soon as the basketball hoop was assembled, she instinctively knew what to do! She immediately grabbed one of the balls and started shooting hoops. She thinks it’s hilarious every time the ball goes through the net. I love how ‘chunky’ and durable this set feels. The fact that it can be used both indoors and out is also a huge plus!

I really like how lightweight both the bat as well as the balls are as it truly makes this baseball game easy for kids kids (and adults) of all ages to experience.

GoSports 32 Inch Tabletop Foosball Game Set
Have you also considered the fact that sports doesn’t have to be the typical ‘ball’ games. This foosball game set brings tabletop fun right to your kitchen or game room table for easy access, year round play!
Assembly on this foosball game was a bit more in depth compared to the basketball hoop but it came together nicely in about 30 minutes. The instructions were laid out quite well so the process was fairly simple.
Overall, this Foosball set is really neat. I love how much more compact it is over a full sized table, yet it still offers a nice playing size. It’s lightweight enough to be easy to move when needed as well. My only complaint would be that it only comes with two balls so we’ll have to be diligent that the toddler doesn’t walk off with them. Overall, it’s a beautiful looking game that is well made and fun to play.

Seeing the foosball table reminds me of all the fun we had when our kids were growing up playing air hockey and foosball. Maybe time to get ones for the grandkids.
