One of the most valuable things I have learned since I started blogging, was about online prescription glasses companies. I've worn glasses since age 12, and Ryan has worn classes since he was 9. We are now both really dependent on glasses, and we have both paid over 300 a pair for glasses in the past. Thankfully, that wasn't my bill as I was underage. Now that I am on my own, I'm so glad that I know about companeis like Just Eyewear that have a huge selection of very affordable glasses. By affordable, Read more [...]

As you all know, I’m all about twitter and Facebook. Many of you follow me via tweets or status updates. Do you happen to know that many retailers and boutiques do this as well? Take ShopNBC for example. If you like the ShopNBC Facebook page, you can actually enter several giveaways through their promotions tab. If you’re more of a twitter junkie, follow ShopNBC as they tweet on a daily basis. Already tired of reading? Here’s something I don’t already do. You can actually watch ShopNBC on Read more [...]

Valentines day will be here before we know it. Most years, Ryan and I do a pretty typical valentines day. I get him chocolate, he gets me flowers, a stuffed animal or candy and we go out to dinner. This is enjoyable, but sometimes my last minute trip to wal mart for a box of chocolate makes me feel a bit guilty. If you're looking for something more fun and thoughtful, consider zic and chacha. Zic & ChaCha is a company that makes his and hers boxer sets. The idea itself is adorable. The women's Read more [...]

I would spare you all from hearing about my resolutions, but I've always heard that if you write down your goals you are more likely to achieve them. So here they are: I want to make it to blogher. Of course, I am going to continue to seek out sponsors but I also want to focus on my etsy shop and put any profits earned into a blogher savings. I also want to do a better job of ebaying items that I have laying around and don't use and won't use. I want to regularly use coupons. Coupons have interested Read more [...]

I fanned you on facebook as Patricia B.

Congrats Pat, I emailed you.

For a while now I have been trying to think of ideas to incorporate personal posts and interaction with my readers. However, until now I couldn't really think of much to write about. I think 'mommy bloggers' have it much easier than people who haven't had children yet, because if all else fails they can talk about the funny things their kid said that day, etc. I've always struggled to come up with a topic because Ryan and I are just a typical couple and 99% of what we do is just too boring to blog Read more [...]

Yeah, I'm excited about this one guys! I know that I have confessed to my readers before that I am a soda addict. However, I'm not sure that I've ever mentioned my true addiction - mountain dew slushies. I prefer using speedway gas stations simply because they have mountain dew slushies, where most gas stations do not. I can't visit a gas station that has a mountain dew slush machine without buying one, I simply can't. Because of my addiction, my mom once bought me an at home that cost something Read more [...]

If you've been following my blog very long, then you have probably noticed that Ryan and I enjoy using eco-friendly products when affordable and possible. Early on in our quest to become more green, we changed over to reusable grocery bags. However, it took us quite a bit longer to convert away from sandwich and snack bags. I tend to take a snack with me when I go to class, so I recently started using reusable sandwich bags at school. These work great for my snacks, but are less ideal when you have Read more [...]

I have decided to extend the reusies giveaway for two more days. I got really busy with the holidays and haven’t had the time to promote it like I should. I also had reports that it wasn’t possible to enter my giveaways yesterday due to comment forms not loading. So that giveaway will now end December 30th at noon. Get your entries in!

Quite a while back I first introduced my readers to cafepress with their amazing selection of t shirts. I still have my cafe press t shirt and wear it regularly, it's held up great and is so unique. I love cafepress for their unbelievably large selection of designs to choose from. Their thermos selection is no less impressive! Go to cafepress's thermos section and search 'monster' and you'll get 2,400 results. WOW! Type in 'Ryan' and get 910. You get the idea. When cafepress emailed me to let me Read more [...]
