Thank you to Green Mountain Diapers for providing me with product, free of charge, for review.  All opinions are my own.

Well, we’ve been cloth diapering for a year now come January 1st, and it’s been a good ride.  While my initial reasoning behind taking this leap was because our son had a “chemical” type burn from the “green” disposables we were spending a small fortune on, I have come to love cloth diapering for so many more reasons.  A big thing that I’ve discovered is that we have saved so much money over the last year by switching to cloth.  Now with two in diapers, I am even more stoked about the money we are saving.  Plus, I absolutely love the cute prints and fun colors that are available.  Nobody ever comments on disposable diapers around here but I’ve gotten so many comments on our cloth diapers.  Add in the fact that cloth is better for the environment, and I’m wishing I would have been introduced almost a decade ago when we had our first child.

Green Mountain Diapers sent me a couple of their products for review including the Bummis Dimple Diaper.  It is made from 100% organic cotton and I am so impressed by how soft it is.  This diaper also comes with a double-sided booster for additional protection.  The Bummis Dimple Diaper is fast becoming a favorite here and I am using it daily.  The elastic gives a nice fit on both the back and legs while the multiple adjustable rise snaps allow me to customize the perfect fit for whichever child I’m using it on.  Made for children from 10-30+ pounds, I’ve found this to fit well on both ends of the spectrum.  Our 3 month old is about 14 pounds and our 2 1/2 year old is around 26 pounds.  I even did an over-night test on this diaper by adding a Cloth-eez Lightweight Pre-fold Diaper inside since I know there are many heavy wetters for overnights, our son included, and loved that it wasn’t so overly bulky that it prohibited movement or affected comfort.

The 2 year old with the extra  Cloth-eez Lightweight Pre-fold Diaper to show fit.  Not too bulky at all!

Our 3 month old with the Bummis Dimple, included liner, and one additional bamboo liner.  Again, not very bulky.

We also tried out the Bummis Simply Lite Cover.  This cover looks especially trim so I was a little worried that it wouldn’t cover the Dimple Diaper with a Cloth-eez Pre-fold stuffed inside, however, it stretches nicely and fits well.  The elastic is strong and the snaps are easy to work.  This Simply Lite Cover is very trim and works nicely over the Bummis Dimple Diaper or the Cloth-eez Lightweight Pre-fold Diaper.  It’s so trim that it has even made me forget our baby was in cloth one day!

That is another great bonus about cloth.  Many of the diapers, covers, and liners are able to fit children at different ages and sizes equally efficiently.  All three of the products we received from Green Mountain Diapers are fantastic for both of our diapered children and we highly recommend them.
