Well, I’m almost one now.  My mommy and I have almost accomplished our first goal of making it to my first birthday breastfeeding.  I’m super excited to be turning one soon.  I love to walk along furniture, eat ANYTHING that is not actually food (paper, grass, sticks, cardboard….you name it!), and at least once every day, you’ll find on top of somewhere that I don’t belong.  My favorite is when my brothers forget to push in their chairs and I make it on top of the dining room table!  Boy, I sure feel like a super big girl from way up high.  However, mommy doesn’t seem to like it when she catches me.  She keeps telling me I’m going to hurt myself if I don’t stay down….  No matter, there is always tomorrow when she’s not looking!

Speaking about things that I DON’T like, let me tell you.  Bottles are not always a baby’s best friend.  Sometimes, they can give us all kinds of problems.  So I like to tell my mom to find me a good one that helps keep my tummy full without all the air.  Plus, the natural latch allows me to switch from nursing to bottle easily (when I’m in the mood.)  The comfort petals give me a soft but flexible nipple that helps me enjoy getting a drink without dealing with the nipple collapsing.  The best part is the Philips Avent Anti-Colic System.  Air goes into the bottle but the twin valve design keeps it vented away from my tummy!  Since the bottle also has an ergonomic shape, it’s easy for me to hold (and sometimes play with), and just as easy for mommy if she wants to be the bottle holder.
