Thank you to Honeywell for providing me with product, free of charge, in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are 100% my own.
Airborne contaminants can be a big problem. While many people use cleaners and air fresheners thinking they are creating a better environment for their families, they may actually be introducing airborne chemicals instead. Soaps, perfumes, cleaning supplies, and even laundry detergents can leave lingering contaminants in the air leading to head aches as well as irritating eyes, noses, and throats. The makers of Honeywell have partnered with an environmental scientists team to release a check-list of the 10 most common VOCs found in American homes.
Now that you’ve been introduced to this list, it’s time to share some steps to help reduce VOCs in the home.
- Start out by purchasing products that have fewer VOCs released. A good way to manage this is to look at organic products.
- Use a portable air purifier that utilizes a carbon filter filtration system that will help absorb VOCs.
- Increase ventilation, taking care especially when using chemical products. Relocate storage and use of these products to the garage and outdoors.
Honeywell is here to help. One option they can offer is using a product from their Air Purifier Line to aid in cleaning the air in your environment. They are now offering their New Honeywell QuietClean Tower Air Purifier that’s loaded with some great key features including:
~Great For Rooms Up To 179 Square Feet
~3 Step Filtration System
~Built-In Ionizer
~Oscillation Feature
~Quiet Operation
~Permanent Filters That Are Washable
~Designed With A Built In Carrying Handle
~Space Saving Design
~Easy To Use
Even though we have a fairly chemical-free home (Microfiber Cleaning Cloths, Natural Soaps & Detergents), I’m really excited to have this Honeywell QuietClean Air Purifier. My husband tends to still have some seasonal allergy issues throughout the year and I’m always looking for ways to improve the quality of our home. Plus, we recently got new carpet and flooring and I hadn’t realized that those improvements could release VOCs into our air.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

This air purifier would really help on the days when we have major fires, which is unfortunately very often this season. I keep the windows shut just to keep the bad air out.
