This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic.
We moved to a new (to us) house in November, but I feel like we’re still adjusting to the fact that we really live here. It was a nice upgrade from our last place and has so many more storage cabinets that I still have to open a few cupboards (or stop and think) to remember where lesser-used items are now stored. It’s odd to not know where certain things are stored in your own house!
I am really pleased with our move in every way except for one. The one issue we’ve had since moving is our phone connection. We stayed in our same rural area but we are now right on a larger pond. When we were in the process of moving in, we thought our phones batteries were both dying really rapidly because they weren’t keeping a charge very long at all. Once someone tried to call us while we were here and we could barely hear them and the call dropped, we realized it was the connection causing the battery issue. What was happening was our phones would lose signal a lot, and when the signal is lost our phones will continually check to try to find a connection. The constant re-checking of signal was draining the batteries! What’s more frustrating is even when our phones show a single bar of signal, if we try to send out a text or make a call suddenly the bar goes away and we can’t perform the task. I like my new house, but I still need to be able to reach out to my friends and family members who aren’t here with me, so I knew it would just be a matter of time until we changed phone companies.
Ryan in our backyard looking out at the far end of the pond on a really summer November day. On the far right you can see where the island begins in the center of the pond. It’s not pictured but we have a little dock/bridge that connects to the island that we can’t wait to check out once it’s warmer!
I know other people who live on lakes and I knew our phones didn’t work well at their houses either. It seems like most cell phone service near bodies of water in my area have low quality signal. Everyone I have talked to says the best bet for a strong signal here is Verizon. My brother lives next to a lake and he switched to Verizon because he knew his only visitors who kept a signal at his house were Verizon customers. He switched to Verizon to get good coverage at his house but he says the signal is great even in odd places like large department stores, elevators and parking garages which are places he would lose signal with his old company. I wouldn’t mind having signal in all those places as well! Verizon’s slogan is “better matters” and it really does. I need my devices to be ready to work great for me all the time so I can make a phone call, send an email or text and then get back to other aspects of my life. I don’t want to waste any part of my day waiting for signal to refresh or redialing a dropped call. Verizon was rated #1 in speed, data, reliability and overall in performance in the US by RootMetrics®.
Right now Verizon is running a deal so you can keep connected with family for less. When you buy a new smartphone use the code COUPONVZW to save $50! The coupon code will expire 2/29 and is available for use with new customer or new lines of service. It is not valid for upgrades. Verizon makes it really easy to get or stay connected with family. You can sign up for service, add devices or add new lines right on their website.
PS – if you’re considering a purchase of the Droid Turbo 2, there is a hidden deal available! When you add the Droid Turbo 2 to your cart you will receive a free Qi wireless charger if you pay by monthly device payment. Offer is good through 2/25.
Win it: A $500 Amazon gift card! Giveaway will run through 11:59pm EST on 3/1/2016. Giveaway is open to US residents 18+.
