Thank you to Casio for sending product for review in exchange for my honest opinion.

Just the other night, my husband and I were discussing getting our daughter a keyboard so she could begin to learn to play the piano. She has been super interested in pianos when we have visited others who have them in their homes. She enjoys singing and dancing and loves music in general, so we knew that a keyboard would be a great first instrument for her. We are excited to partner with Casio to review their Casiotone CT-S200 Portable Keyboard.

This stylish keyboard is available in black, white and red. The CT-S200 is compact and has a built in grip at the top of the keyboard. It weighs only a little more than 7 pounds (3.3 kg) and is super easy to carry. The design incorporates rounded edges and corners, making it safely portable.

As we expected, our daughter LOVES practicing on our new Casiotone CT-S200. It features a simple, intuitive interface, and an organized layout with fewer buttons because it uses both a full dot LCD screen and dial. It is also equipped with a home button that lets you return to the original screen at any time. It has a mode that lets you put together drum, bass, and synthesizer phrases to enjoy dance music, and 12 types of Dance Music Voices that our daughter really thinks are fun.

I am looking forward to this keyboard growing with our children. The Chordana Play app will make practicing fun for them in the future. We will be able to display 50 in-app demo songs or download MIDI files on the Chordana Play piano roll or musical score screen to play their favorite songs anytime, anywhere. With the Cordana App the will be able to play music without reading a musical score by striking keys in rhythm with the bars as they scroll down from the top of the screen. Then track their score with the app’s scoring feature to make practicing fun.

March is Music In Our Schools Month. Since my kiddos are not in school yet, what better time to bring music into our home?! We’ve been having a ton of fun as a family with our new Casiotone CT-S200.

Tell me in the comments, which instrument did your children start with?

Music is so important. I know there have been studies that people who learn music do better at learning other languages and in general. Like most it was the recorder here. I think it is a good choice as kids can carry it along and it teaches them to read music. I is also inexpensive. I do like these portable pianos though quite alot.

I love bringing music into the children’s lives. My mother had each of us try to play an instrument. My boys did too and now their children are too. I like this Casiotone CT-S200

This is a great way to get kids interested in learning to play an instrument for music. Our 3 year old grandson got a drum set a few months ago and he loves it.

I started with a recorder and then moved to a clarinet during high school and college. Music is so important for kids to learn. My Casio keyboard is 15 years old and still works fine.

The Casio Keyboard is what my kids started learning on and I found that it really had everything needed for many years of lessons. Right price and durable.

Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to play the piano. Rethinking this at age 75 thinking that a Casio Keyboard might be the perfect fit!

I think my grandchildren would love to play the piano. This keyboard would be a great way for them to learn! The Chordana Play app sounds very useful.
