Gordini Performance Gloves & Socks Review – Gear For The Whole Family!

Ready for winter? I know I’m not! I sure do enjoy living in a place that experiences all four seasons, but I’d much rather the length of winter be shortened. But since I’m in Minnesota, that’s not exactly an option. Winter here tends to arrive early, stick around far too long, and bring plenty of snow, wind, and bitterly cold days along with it.
So, if we have to deal with winter, we might as well be prepared. Thankfully, there are brands like Gordini to help my entire family power through the cold. Celebrating 70 years as a Vermont-based outdoor accessories brand! Gordini offers a wide variety of gloves, mittens, performance socks, and other cold-weather essentials. With options for men, women, and kids at a range of price points, Gordini makes it easy to outfit the whole family for winter.
For The Men

Men’s Ripton Sock Ultralight Ski Sock
A good pair of winter socks can make a huge difference when you’re spending hours outside, which my husband does every day being a dairy farmer. The Gordini’s Men’s Ripton Ultralight Ski Socks are a great choice. They’re designed to deliver warmth and performance without a lot of bulk.
These socks combine soft Merino wool with Coolmax EcoMade Fiber, helping wick moisture away from the foot. They also incorporate REPREVE yarns made with recycled content, including plastic bottles, along with reinforced nylon on the exterior for added durability.

Features include:
- Instep compression
- Secure heel pocket
- Arch support
- Flat-knit construction
- Seamless toe closure
- Merino wool and polypropylene reinforced with a nylon exterior
Because they’re ultralight, these socks can even be worn as a liner. That’s a nice option for someone who doesn’t like bulky socks inside ski or winter boots but still wants the benefits of Merino wool and moisture management.

Men’s Foundation Glove
The Gordini Men’s Foundation Glove is built for long days on the mountain or in challenging conditions. It combines warmth, weather protection, and several thoughtful details. The Foundation Glove features Thindown insulation, designed to provide even heat retention without unnecessary bulk. An AquaBloc insert makes the gloves waterproof, windproof, and breathable, helping keep moisture out while keeping hands comfortable.
The exterior features a 10k ripstop shell along with a CLUTCH synthetic leather palm and trim, providing extra durability and grip. These gloves are also pack in plenty of practical features, including a gauntlet cuff with drawcord closure, adjustable wrist strap, easy-on pull tab, leash, and even a nose wipe.

Foundation Glove Details:
- 10k ripstop shell
- CLUTCH™ synthetic leather palm and trim
- Waterproof, windproof, breathable AquaBloc® insert
- Thindown® insulation
- Moisture-wicking lining
- Gauntlet cuff with drawcord closure
- Adjustable wrist strap
- Easy-on pull tab
- Nose wipe
- Leash
- bluesign® APPROVED shell and lining
These gloves would make a great choice for skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, playing outside with the kids, or simply tackling those extra-cold winter days.
For The Women

Women’s Equinox Sock Midweight Hike Sock
I’m a firm believer that warm feet can make winter much more tolerable! The Women’s Equinox Midweight Hike Sock offers more cushioning than the men’s ultralight option above, making it a versatile choice for hiking, walking, outdoor chores, and everyday winter wear. (Or like me, I wear these to homeschool co-op as the church we host in is always FREEZING!) I also appreciate Gordini’s SoleKNIT Dual Layer construction underfoot. It combines durable exterior yarns with moisture-wicking interior yarns, creating thermal air pockets designed to help keep feet both warm and dry.
The OrbitKNIT ribbed cuff is another helpful touch. It’s designed to provide a secure, inclusive fit without uncomfortable constriction.

Other features include:
- SoleKNIT® Dual Layer underfoot
- Instep compression and padding
- Secure heel pocket
- Arch support
- Terry cushioning in the sole, heel, and toe
- Seamless toe closure
- OrbitKNIT® ribbed cuff
- Merino wool + Accu-Dri® polyester interior
- Merino wool + polypropylene reinforced with nylon exterior
Between the cushioning, moisture management, and Merino wool blend, these are the type of socks I reach for anytime I know I’ll be spending a significant amount of time in the cold.

Women’s Argyle Mitt
The Women’s Argyle Mitt is a great addition to Gordini’s lineup. I especially love that these have a more casual, stylish look while still providing the warmth needed for cold winter days. The fleece shell features a subtle argyle texture. They’re finished with a soft suede palm that adds both style and function. Inside, Megaloft synthetic insulation helps keep hands warm, while the moisture-wicking lining helps manage moisture and keep hands comfortable.

Argyle Mitt Details:
- Argyle-textured fleece shell
- Soft suede palm
- Megaloft® synthetic insulation
- Moisture-wicking lining
These are perfect for everyday winter wear. So whether running errands, heading to an outdoor event, taking a winter walk, or spending a relaxed weekend outside with the family; they’re a go-to. I also think their classic design makes them an especially nice gift option for the holidays.
For The Kids

Junior’s Gap Jr Midweight Ski Sock
A good pair of ski socks isn’t just for kids who ski. The Junior’s Gap Jr Midweight Ski Socks can be a great option anytime kids are pulling on their winter boots and heading outside for an extended period. Like the women’s Equinox socks, these feature SoleKNIT Dual Layer technology, combining durable exterior yarns with moisture-wicking interior yarns. The construction creates thermal air pockets to help keep little feet warm and dry. They also feature the OrbitKNIT ribbed cuff, which is designed to stay securely in place without feeling overly restrictive.

Features include:
- SoleKNIT® Dual Layer underfoot and instep
- Instep compression
- Secure heel pocket
- Arch support
- Terry cushioning in the heel and toe
- Seamless toe closure
- OrbitKNIT® ribbed cuff
- Merino wool + Accu-Dri® polyester interior
- Merino wool + polypropylene reinforced with nylon exterior
Warm socks are one of those little things that can determine whether kids happily play outside for an hour or come running back inside after ten minutes complaining that their feet are cold. So be sure to grab the Junior’s Gap Jr Midweight Ski Sock for all the kids in your life.

Toddler’s Prima Glove
Keeping toddler gloves on AND keeping their hands warm and dry can sometimes feel like an impossible winter challenge. Gordini’s Toddler’s Prima Glove is designed with little ones in mind. The Prima Gloves feature a polyester shell with triple-layer softshell material on the fingers, allowing for additional flexibility. Inside, Megaloft synthetic insulation provides warmth while a moisture-wicking lining helps manage moisture.
Perhaps most importantly for kids who love grabbing handfuls of snow, there’s Gordini’s AquaBloc insert. It provides waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection. I also really like the gauntlet-style cuff. It features an extended zipper, wrist strap, and drawcord closure to help create a snug fit and keep snow from sneaking inside.

Prima Glove Details:
- Polyester shell
- Triple-layer softshell on fingers
- Waterproof, windproof, breathable AquaBloc® insert
- Megaloft® synthetic insulation
- Moisture-wicking lining
- Gauntlet cuff
- Extended zipper
- Wrist strap
- Drawcord closure
- Soft nose wipe
- bluesign® APPROVED shell material
For Minnesota winters especially, I appreciate seeing toddler gear like the Prima Glove that offers many of the same weatherproofing technologies found in adult performance gear.

Gordini Has The Whole Family Covered This Winter
Winter may not be my favorite season, but having the right gear definitely makes it easier to embrace. Thanks to Gordini, it’s never been a simpler process to gear up. I especially appreciate how the Gordini lineup isn’t limited to one type of winter enthusiast. There are options for serious skiers and snowboarders, families who spend weekends sledding and playing outside, people who work outdoors, and those of us who simply need to survive another long Minnesota winter.
