For the second time in her life, our sweet little Yorkie scared me silly. But I'm going to back up a little. Angel is a Pure bread Yorkie. So when we got her 3 1/2 years ago, she weighed in at less than 1#. She was SOOO tiny!

Thank you to Armarkat for providing me with this cat tree to facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% my own.
We have two cats that we have adopted from the Humane Society over the past couple years, and we love them dearly. While we have plenty of furniture for them to climb on, none of our couches or beds are very tall. When we recently built our daughter a loft bed, our cats were in heaven sitting up on that high perch. Plus, we've had a few issues with our cats scratching on our box springs Read more [...]

Our not-so-little any more Rosie received a bag of Now Fresh Grain-Free Adult Fish Recipe Dry Cat Food from Chewy.com to review. All opinions are (mostly) his as the rest of us didn't try it.
As a child, I loved cats. It seems like most kids do. And now we live on a farm and have a large abundance of them now. And when kids visit, they barely notice the two large swing sets, trampoline, bikes, and myriad of other toys. Instead, they head straight to the barn and find the cats.

I received product in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
Life is funny. When I was growing up, my only requirement for a future husband was that he could NOT be a farmer. Well.... someone up above has quite the sense of humor. Here I am celebrating our 15 year anniversary this September with my husband. Who IS a farmer! After meeting him back in 2001, my heart changed and I slowly began to picture my life on a farm. Turns out, it's WONDERFUL! Truly a great place to Read more [...]

“I received this item free of charge from Chewy.com in exchange for my honest review.”
Well, even though I didn't think it would ever happen, we have a house cat. Rosie was added to our family last Fall after my husband and our kids rescued her out of the barn wall. This included cutting a hole as she had fallen in and couldn't be reached. Out came this tiny, weak little kitten that was probably less than two weeks old. I ran to town and came back with a bottle, formula, and a few Read more [...]
I Planted A Garden For My Chickens
Yep, you read that right... I planted a garden for my chickens.
We have fourteen chickens that are almost four months of age. Due to predators in our pasture, we are unable to continue letting our chickens free-range. So, now they live in a coop and have a large run to play in. No matter where they are, they have access to shelter, food, and water.
With the chickens no longer having access to fresh greens, I decided to plant them a garden. I did my research and found that many herbs and Read more [...]
