I received product from Ninja to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
When I get stumped for a gift idea, I tend to invest in something practical and useful. I love knowing that someone will enjoy my gift but I like it even more when I know it will be used for years to come. So with that, today’s inclusion in our 2017 Holiday Gift Guide coverage is Ninja Kitchen! You’ve probably heard about Ninja’s awesome line up but I’m really excited to let you know that they have five great new products just in time for the holidays. Today, I’m going to share two of them with you but you can always head over to Ninja Kitchen to learn more about the rest.
The Ninja Cooking System with Auto-iQ
Okay, I’ve been a HUGE fan of Ninja for years now. I already own, (and use often), their original Cooking System so I was extremely excited to see their new release! Their new Ninja Cooking System with Auto-iQ features:
- 4 Appliances Built In One! (slow cooker; stove top for searing and sautéing, a steamer, and oven baking capabilities)
- Auto-iQ Features Over 80 Pre-programmed Recipes (simply select a recipe from the recipe book, add ingredients, and let your Cooking System do the rest!)
- Easy To Use
- One Pot To Clean
I really like the new stainless steel design and see-through lid of the Ninja Cooking System With Auto-iQ. It’s a sleek and sophisticated design that looks great in every kitchen. And today, I wanted to share a recipe that this new system gave me the courage to try: Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup!
Now, people have been telling me for years that it’s much better to make soup from scratch but using a whole chicken has always intimidated me. However, since Ninja sent me their Ninja Cooking System with Auto-iQ, I decided to take the leap. It turns out, it wasn’t that bad or as time consuming as I thought with the right equipment!
- 1 Whole Chicken, raw
- 11 cups water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ¾ cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 bag soup noodles of choice
- ½ teaspoon basil
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- 3 teaspoons sea salt (add more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon pepper (add more to taste)
- In your Ninja Cooking System, place all ingredients EXCEPT noodles.
- Turn on to setting to Stove Top High for 20 minutes.
- Then adjust setting to Stove Top Low for 60 minutes.
- Remove chicken. De-bone and shred into small chunks.
- Place small pieces of chicken back into Ninja Cooking System.
- Add noodles
- Continue cooking on Stove Top Low for 10-15 minutes or till noodles are soft.
- Store leftovers in a covered dish in the refrigerator.
It was so easy to get a hot, home cooked meal on the table with my Ninja Cooking System. I can’t wait to continue using often and delving into the recipe book so I can take advantage of the Auto-iQ settings too! There’s an Enchilada recipe calling my name so that’s next on my list!
