Nadine West april 2019 review

I was sent a Nadine West shipment for review. There are affiliate links in this post. All opinions are my own.

Warmer weather has finally arrived in the upper midwest. Thank goodness! It’s been an incredibly rainy May, but at least we’ve had a handful of 65+ degree days. It’s finally feeling like summer is on the way. My Nadine West shipments are looking a bit more summery as well! This shipment included 9 items. You may recall that I had tried increasing my top size to a medium because sometimes size small tops or dresses are too tight, but then the mediums were really big. So, I’ve accepted that I am simply in between sizes, but I went back down to a size small.

For those of you who have recently found my blog, Nadine West is a clothing subscription service for women. You tell them your size, style preferences (Such as prints and colors you like and dislike) and then they send you roughly 5-11 items per month. You are not charged upfront, and your shipment will include a prepaid return shipping label. You try on the items and ship back any you don’t wish to keep. You are only charged for what you do keep. Items may include clothing (tops, dresses, skirts, pants, shorts, leggings) accessories (hats, sunglasses, scarves, jewelry, legwarmers, etc).

This shipment included 9 items. Let’s get into them!

Nadine west spring top

This top is a really lightweight material that is great for hot days. I like the fit of this top, it conceals the belly area a little bit without making you look totally shapeless. I would consider this top a keeper if it were in a different color or shade. I tend to avoid bright blues. It is $24.49 to keep.

Nadine west bracelet

This cuff is on the small side, I had a hard time getting my wrist through the gap in the cuff. I think it is pretty cute though! Pretty simple and will go with almost any outfit. It is $12.19 to keep.

Nadine west earrings

These earrings are a bit too big for my style. They’re also very heavy, I found them painful to wear. I just tried them on for this photo, but my ears were sore for a day afterward even just wearing them for a couple of minutes. Definitely not for me, but they would be $12.99 to keep.

Nadine West jewelry

This necklace is simple and sweet! I really like it. It is $29.99 to keep.

Nadine west pants

Apologies for the stink face! I was squinting more so than making a bad face. The display on my camera had the settings mixed up so we couldn’t see the preview very well. Whoops! Anyway, these bottoms are thin and soft with a cute floral pattern. They have real pockets and are quite comfy. They would work for me as pajama pants. They are $21.49 to keep.

Nadine west outfit

This top is kind of a fun mixture of sporty and feminine. The stripes on the sleeves feel sporty to me, yet the twisted knot in the front in center feels pretty girly. I think this shirt is cute, but for some reason it’s just not quite my style. It is a light material that is perfect for hot summer days. It is $25.19 to keep.

I’ve gotten a few pair of bottoms from Nadine West that are styled somewhat like this. I’ve never seen anyone in my local area wear bottoms like this, so they strike me as a bit…strange. I’m curious if I just live in an area that isn’t very adventurous when it comes to fashion or not. I’d love for you to leave me a comment on this post letting me know if you see people in your area wearing bottoms like this, and a rough idea of where you live. In my area, almost everyone wears jeans, jean shorts, chinos or leggings. These are $11.99 to keep.

Nadine west floral top

Nadine West once sent me a dress in this same print, that is still one of my favorite dresses. Keep in mind that I’m pretty short at 5’1″, but this top is rather long on me, covering most of my butt and being the same length in front. I like the criss-cross part on the sleeves, and the material is cute and super soft. I just wish it had more of a normal hem that ended at the top of my shorts instead of front flap in front and in back. It is $34.99 to keep.

Nadine west lavender top

This top is a keeper for me. When I first put it on, I thought it was a dress! It has drawstrings on each hip, which I knotted up tight for this photo. When left loose, the material hangs a lot lower. Purple is my favorite color and I like all shades, but I thought this lavender tone was perfect for warm weather. It is a really thin, light material that wrinkles easily so I’ll definitely be hanging it up instead of folding it in my dresser. I like it though! It is $25.99 to keep.

This was a fairly successful month for me. I like the lavender top, will get some use out of the black pants, and I will keep the cuff and bracelet. Remember, you can sign up with your own size and style preferences to get items styled for you shipped to your door. Head to Nadine West to sign up.

Leave me a comment lettig me know what your favorite item in this shipment was! & Let me know what your thoughts are on the pants, too. Are those in style in other areas?

You got some cute things. I really like both pair of pants.I have a couple of pair of wide legged ones similar to the second pair you have on but I have never seen anyone wear this style where we live either. I like them though because I like to be different.

Very pretty assortment of clothing for Spring and Summer! Not much of it is my style, but I think my favorite would be the purple top that you kept as well. Those style of pants that are strange to you are strange to me as well, I do not see very many women wear them either. I live in a pretty big city (Dallas, TX) but maybe this is more of a West coast (California) style? As always, thank you so much for sharing! I love reading your Nadine West posts.

Really cute items for the upcoming warmer weather. I have seen women wearing the fuller legged pants here in Florida. However, I think it takes someone very thin to pull that look off as the extra fabric will add alot of bulk.

    • That’s interesting that they are worn more in Florida. Perhaps it’s due to them being a thinner material? Here in Michigan people usually want to wear blue jeans until it’s warm enough to wear shorts (I’ve worn shorts twice so far this year). We sort of joke about not really having much spring or fall weather we tend to go from summer to winter and back awfully quickly. Perhaps in warmer climates, there are more ‘in between’ weather days it makes more sense to have light weight pants.
