The Action Bible: Faith in Action Edition Review
Back in 2017, we took a family road trip from Minnesota to Kentucky to see the Ark Encounter. Our older kids at the time, loved reading. However, we were struggling with our 3rd child to help him appreciate books. He was almost 7 at the time and wanted as little to do with reading as possible. But there was a major turning point during this vacation that transitioned his outlook on books. While we were touring the ark, we came across an exhibit that showed the Bible in comic fashion. That boy devoured it and we spent an entire hour standing there while he read every single poster! As soon as we got back home, I searched for a ‘comic book Bible’ and came across The Action Bible. I bought one for all four of our older kids and it’s been one of the best investments we’ve made. They all LOVED them! So when I saw there was a new version out, I just had to grab it for Lucy (since she has never had her own.)
This new edition is absolutely gorgeous! All of my kids love it and I appreciate how the Faith in Action Edition takes on helping kids Engage in God’s Word, Grow in God’s Word, and Live God’s Word. The Bible stories are in chronological order, to better help kids understand God’s redemptive story. I feel this is helpful once they incorporate using a standard Bible in their everyday life as they will have a better understanding of the layout.
